Thankfully they reshot this scene. This original take is way too awkward and jarring, feels more like a rehearsal. Her constant shifting and fidgeting is irritating to witness and the lack of cuts from the POV of buddy whilst driving make the scene even harder to digest. Editing and cutting can do wonders when done correctly. Also the lack of score take away that cinematic or theatrical feel. This feels rather forced. It’s clear there’s chemistry between them but it’s not executed effectively compared to the final cut. Excellent film regardless.
