For an FHA loan, PMI does not stay on for the life of the loan. Once your equity is 20% or more, it should drop off automatically. If not dropped right away, you can call your lender to remove the PMI.

No it does thats only true of conventional loans. You must refinance an FHA loan to get rid of PMI.

Not true. FHA guidelines were changed in recent years and PMI doesn't come off regardless of the 20% equity barrier reached for most borrowers.

I was wondering about that too as far as I know, the PMI comes up off after 20% LTV

Ashley and Tony do a really good job. The guest are usually good and informative for rookies. I mean this with best of intent and suggestions- Ashley‘s constant fake laughing, and laughing through all of her sentences is incredibly distracting! And she’s laughing and there’s really nothing funny that she’s is saying, Most of the time. Her laughter seems so forced and it’s VERY distracting…. I wish she would stop doing this or do it less. Overall good podcast other than that.
