Mr. Goodpliers heads up to Nebraska to check in with a friend who bought an entire farm of vintage 1930s, 1940s, 1950s and 1960s Chevrolet cars and trucks! The easy part is buying them, but getting them out of the woods takes time and manpower... Come along to see the process! This is Part One of a three part series. See my other videos for more from this spot!

I spent the Summer of '88 in central Nebraska. I drove a lot of back roads that Summer. The collection shown in this video is unique because of its size, but there are many, many farms in that area with a half dozen old cars and trucks parked in the woodlot behind the barn. The trees gow up very quickly. Big as they are, the trees you see in this video are, at most, 30 or 40 years old.

Those old cars are eye candy to me. Everyone of them has value, just in the memories that they stir up in older people and the imaginations of the young.

Sir (?), Why is it so "mind blowing" that there are still farms... especially in the Great Plains?
@guysgt5003
@guysgt5003 2 жыл бұрын
@@willhorting5317 Because guys like you have been coming along for 30+ years looting the farms dry and clearing the land. I’m amazed there’s still so many left, when so many people have attacked the Midwest.
@willhorting5317
@willhorting5317 2 жыл бұрын
What the heck do you mean, "guys like you"? Make assumptions often do you? You know nothing about me. Especially anything that deserves for you to be saying things like that.....All I did was ask a question......I have never "looted" nor "cleared" any land....In reality, I am from an actual farm family. Beginning as a kid, I helped my parents work the farm for well over forty years, until my health forced me into early retirement ten years ago. One of my adult kids still works the farm...... Anyway, as I said, all I did was ask you why you were so surprised. I won't presume to speak for other Great Plains states. But Kansas (my state) is still mostly family farms, little different than it has been for the past century. So again, I don't understand why you jumped down my throat for asking a simple question sir.

Scrap metal recyclers have been stocking KZbin channels turning the junkyards in to the states towns and they been revoking not renewing licensing for old vintage junkyards unless they clean up all the vehicles so awesome after seeing this video it brightens my day knowing that people are buying and saving these classic cars for our younger generations to restore and to enjoy 👍
