Mr. Goodpliers returns to the Nebraska Chevrolet collection for loading day! Friends have come from far and wide with their trailers for the loading party! These collector cars get a lift, then take a ride away, towed to their new home! Many curious people will take a guess: What is that Mystery Fleetline??
This is Part Three of a three-part series. See my other videos for more from this spot!

I thinnkk the Fleetline was used as a farrier or branding unit - there likely was some fences to corral the cattle on the right side and the bumper was some kind of a support for the fence sections.. The right side was damaged by the animals pushing against it - just my guess.

The plan to build a car from 1 part hit close to home. Found a 32 radiator shell in a barn I was hired to tear down ended up with a 5w coupe with only 2 repro parts ( deck lid and fuel tank ). Frame that had been made into a wagon ,body shell that had been used for erosion control etc. Took awhile every part on it has a story.

If everyone would have left at once, that would have been a very impressive convoy!! Glad you are rescuing all this stuff. Many cannot be completely restored, but there seems to be a lot of parts that can be restored and reused.

Great video of them being loaded up and hauled to your friend's place. He has an amazing bunch of cars and trucks from the looks of the video that you were able to share with us. It is good that he was able to get these and hopefully most of them will get purchased to be restored or put into restoration projects. My favorite is the Mystery Fleetline. It looks like a farrier may have had it. Perhaps the side was used to drop a hitching post into so he could tie the horses to it while he was shoeing the one that he was doing. The front could have been something for it too. Who knows for sure. It sure is a neat and interesting car the way it is set up. I appreciate that you shared these videos and it was great watching the series. Keep it up.

That’s very cool, sometimes here in Central Indiana I’ll drive by what used to be a farm or somebody still living there but there’s trucks and cars and tractors all over the place that aren’t used any more, kind of like a living junkyard that they own, sometimes I feel like stopping and just want to look around but I don’t think they would like that very much. Great video!

Morning Tim, watching your video, can't help but wonder how long it took that fella to drag each car to his farm, it was sad to see those 1.5 trucks cut in half for the cab...the Chevrolet with the Chrysler drive train was pretty cool..the guy doing the loading did his best not to damage the purchased vehicles anymore than he had to...glad to see most went to good homes..Tim, what was the coolest or rarest car there? Be safe!! God Bless!!

In my opinion the Mystery Fleetline was the most unique. These were all fairly high production vehicles with the exception of the 1942s which were only built for half of the model year before factories switched over to defense production.

This is subjest to better knowledge but here goes: In 1942 Chevrolet mad some Fleetlines. It had to do with the trim on the front fenders and rear fender skirts. Some with the slooped rear were called Aerosedans. That lasted until 1949.when the Aerosedan name was scraped and all the slopped rears were called Fleetlines instead of Aerosedans.. Please excuse my spelling but that about it, I believe.

The Chevy is a farrier’s vehicle ( horse shoeing ). Those are lead rope ties on the side and dents from uncooperative horses. Their might be an old rodeo rider that would love that historic vehicle. Farriers never have to advertise, every horse person knows who the local ones are.
