Funny thing is... While the long game was going on Drongo pondered upon the possibility of casting this game while that other one didn't advance. And well as it turns out he could have casted several times this game while the other one was just Avely building walls in the whole map. xD Still loved it tho.

I wonder if throwing down cistern for Akrotoi defense would have been a smart strategy for Don Artie. I haven’t played Byzantines in awhile though.

That would 100% have changed the outcome. I cant believe he didn't do it. He was one of the 2 civs that are overpowered at that point... them and english....

+1 damage and +2 armor would make anyone abandon their TC. Hell just built a cistern would give a very clear message.

Don could have started with a cistern and used the villager buff to attack and do big damage instead of losing all his villagers.

I know Drongo said the teaming remark wasnt a jab at Beast, but we all know that if Elyona was Beasty this game, people would be crying about teaming. Don does nothing besides slow him down at the expense of his life, and then 2 players attack him. Its not teaming, but its hilarious how Beasty fans go quite when this stuff happens to other players but are up in arms when it happens to Beasty as if the world is against him.

I mean when you have enemy scouts in ur base calling out every single thing you do in game to other players it’s a little excessive.

Ya, I saw it too. Elyona having 2nd lowest score getting a +50 pop. I even saw Orange donate couple sheeps to Pink earlier so they could push earlier together with Red to their weakest neighbouring player. A shame though, if they donated some villagers to Don they could have delayed his demise for a double king kill.

Also marinelord took advantage of swiping a king off of a player who was currently getting thwomped by someone else... Its the same effect as someone just quitting and now a player gets the pop advantage without having to have spent their army for it... It just snowballs from there, and it ruins games...

Seriously, how is it fair that marine lord gets to swoop in and team against loralia, or watever the name is, and then without having to have depleted himself get to attack myriad, who was depleted, with now a max pop advantage and then its also cool that green gets to swoop in on myriad along with marinelord? Not a very fun one if you like rooting for the underdog lol. It was very very predictable and one sided sadly. Please could you do it so players start with more vision or town centres can't be built for the first few minutes so players can scout and avoid this situation where everyone is so close besides the winner who gets to boom. Also knights are so boring. Good effort lash though.

Umm marine lord just happened to move his units before the ships even dropped their armys... Suss as hell! how would you even know he was doing a drop? Clearly watching the stream or someone was giving him information.

If your are standing in front of his base and he does nothing on a map where drops are possible, then it also could just be good game sense

He knew he had more than enough units to take his opponent out once the walls fall down, and meanwhile his cav is fast enough to patrol any possible drops and still come back if needed. Just good game sense. That is why he's top dog.

meh, am barely platinum ii myself and it just seemed like a good bet, or an experienced, educated guess... That's how RTS works tbh, that kind of timing and bets often win the game in the most hilarious ways possible and make your adrenaline PUMP!!!!

He only moved about 20% of his cav to cover long enough in case of a backdoor. Then he split 1/3 of the remaining attacking force to hit vills and slow the economy. The rest he sent to the prior location of the King and not the shore where he was heading, making it unlikely he was cheating. This is just how top players play.

@@sandycheeksyaboi9906 Well, as you can see, the English civilization is in a strong position, with plenty of good resources and a powerful late-game advantage. When Myriad attacked the Abbasid, he knew the English were nearby and clearly waiting to strike when both Myriad and Abbasid were weakened. Despite this, Myriad kept attacking, and the English simply waited for the right moment, forcing Myriad to retreat and then killing the Abbasid king (which increased their max population cap by 50). But in the process, Myriad was left weakened and became an easy target for the English, who hadn’t lost any forces while attacking the Abbasid. English then attacked Myriad, wiped them out, and gained an additional 50 population cap, bringing their total to 300! From there, things snowballed. If Myriad hadn’t attacked the Abbasid and had instead held his forces at the border, the English likely wouldn’t have attacked because of the potential outcomes: English attacks: They’d be up against both armies and could lose the fight (though not the game). Myriad would gain the extra 50 population limit. English doesn’t attack: Both armies would have time to grow stronger. Since both Abbasid and Myriad have a solid late-game, even a future fight might not have given the English the kills or the population boost. Just think about how insane it is to have 100 more units than your opponents-that’s a huge advantage, especially so early on and with a civilization like the English, which has such a strong economy
