Great video, we are planning out trip out there for the Big Red Bash in Jul 22. Am trying to build our spreadsheet for tracking expenses, and wonder how you track the k's for your caravan (warranty & servicing / tires), do you use a log book, excel spreadsheet, or you base it on time?

Sounds great! Our van has a GPS odometer which makes life really easy. Otherwise I'd probably just do a logbook. 👍

Like how you keep it real, not so 'instagrammy' like some channels. What you do to cook on a fire, do you have a portable fire pit thingy?
@TheLifestylePioneers3 жыл бұрын
Thanks KC! We do our best to keep it 'real', appreciate your comment. We don't carry a fire pit, we think they're uneccesary and take up space and weight. We have a Bedourie spun steel camp oven for fire cooking as it's more versatile and lightweight. 👍

Loving the tips and pack up run down. 👍Noticed you used a drill for the jockey wheel, what brand is the jockey wheel and would you recommend them?

Thanks! The caravan jack stand is a standard item on the Zone Base, not sure what brand it is though, sorry.

Great video guys! We’re picking up a Zone 20.6 zone base family in April, your vids have been awesome to work through options… can’t wait! Will also be towing with 3.2L Ranger. Interested to know what fuel economy you are averaging? Cheers and enjoy the travels 👍
@TheLifestylePioneers3 жыл бұрын
Awesome! Thank you, Dylan! Towing we average about 18-19L/100km. Our worst of the trip so far has been this section which was around 24L/100km 👍

Enjoying your videos and content ☺ out of curiosity have you ever encountered any issues with your Base, as we have one on order.

Thanks Inna, and congratulations on your Zone purchase, you'll love it! We've had a few small things go wrong, generally screws etc working their way loose. Considering where we've taken it and what we've done with it, we are extrememly impressed.

How's your Clearview mirrors traveling, I've put a set on me px1 haven't towed with them yet
@TheLifestylePioneers3 жыл бұрын
We really like them, John. Ours need some adjustment as the lense moves around a bit when driving but I'm told that's a relatively straigh-forward job. The dual-lense is really handy when towing, especially when off road. I keep the lower one pointed at the caravan wheels and the upper one adjusted for 'normal' driving and slightly high to keep an eye on low branches etc.

I was told when I bought the long range 140 litre tank for my Ranger fuel gauge will work but DTE will not be accurate so please do not rely on it being accurate
@TheLifestylePioneers3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Ian. We have had the computer updated to reflect the larger tank capacity. We never make calculations based on the DTE but it is a handy reference point and generally quite accurate.
