A ha, the last video for the Kimberly, it is always fantastic coming back from a detecting trip to turn on youtube to watch you finding gold, just got back to camp before it has started to pour down, found a line on a creekbank that was setting of the 6000 so I took a bucket of dirt to pan out tomorrow, it is still getting to 43c and the humidity is way up over here in the NT, I can only manage fifty or so metres before the sweat drenches me, the other bloke has finally got his detector going and we can't believe the amount of metal rubbish the old prospectors left behind. Crissy 5:50 you can tell that is a depression in the ground being that there is a lack of stones. Just silt, perfect trap for gold on any hill side. I have be lucky with that in the past of pulling 7 from a 1.5 meter circle, ranging from .2 < .6 grams.

Krissy, There is a great and not expensive tool you need...it is a clip for your hat ...that one clip attaches to the hat and the other clip to your collar... I have one for fishing in the surf and haven't lost a hat yet...used a lot by folks that sail...Cheers from Maine

Unfortunately the good patches run out and there hard to come by in Victoria, I had a 2oz patch the year before I started KZbin and it ran out, a few video's back i took a friend there with a 6000 and it was if I had never been there, the 4500 didn't pick them up, so in about 4-5 hours my mate had 16 and I found 6 with his 6000, time to get a 6000 I think. Good luck over there, I seen your Instagram post, very jealous, well done.

@@PetesGoldAdventures Looks like the 6000 is a very good vacuum cleaner for those little pieces and there still are plenty of those around. I personally think it's always worthwhile to double check bigger patches with different coils or even another detector. Good luck to you ⛏

That's still the old hat but filmed before I lost it. For close-ups at the camp, timelapses and wildlife I uses the Nikon Coolpix A900. For vlogging and detecting it's the DJI Osmo Action now after I just upgraded from the GoPro 3.
