Fantastic, I really have to move over to WA, the grass is way to green here in the NT to detect at the moment, I think I told you last week I was moving to Pine Creek and have done so, I have also booked into the Darwin Hospitals Prosthetic department to get two new callipers as I destroy the ones I have on a regular basis, can't wait to be able to walk again without falling over, the ground where your video was taken looks really rough, some of the roughest ground you usually work on, it looks like you have found a good patch there along that bit of a schist line. I have set up my sleush and it is almost ready to start putting dirt through it, I have always wanted to do this over here just couldn't find enough water to do it, now with the early rains it has happened but I can't walk very well, hopefully in under a week thing's will start to improve, myou have a good week of detecting and keep up the great video's, always appreciated.

You’re right, gold in those eroding seams of schists, you are definitely at the right crossroads of the faults. Stay put and get some biggies! Gold should be just layered in those decomposing seams. Just trying to imagine those faults moving against each other, now there’s a ripper under your feet 🦶! Hot molten schists against hot molten quartz, what a collision. Great Video!!

Krissy! Another great video! Interesting how the gold, quartz, and other minerals have formed in the schist rock. I think many prospectors would assume the gold was trapped there by running water, but that would be a neat trick on a hilltop ... right? I'm wondering if you're finding feldspar in the schist or if it's ironstone instead or both? Anyway, love your tenacious attitude, and how you always make the best of any situation. Keep up the good work, and we'll look forward to seeing you again soon!🥰

@@OutbackGoldFever Hi Krissy! It's true that elevations change over time, so the ridge you're working could be part of an ancient river bed, and the surrounding hills have long since eroded away. I'm a student of geology at best, but sometimes I look at a rock and lose myself in the wonder of its birth and history ... Some of the exposed crustal formations in Wyoming, Utah and Idaho leave the most educated geologists scratching their bloated heads. 🤣 Thanks for corresponding with me. I really admire your determination, and your desire to be free to live on your own terms. We are kindred spirits ❤️ The offer to be your guide in the U.S. still stands, but I think I understand your love for the Outback 👍 Thanks again for sharing your adventures with us. I've come to enjoy spending Saturday evenings with you. See you on the web soon!😍

G'day Krissy, I was hot just seeing the heat around you, do you have times when your water usage skyrockets! and do you have far to travel to replenish your supply's, I dont imagine its a five minute drive to the local supermarket or tap for that matter! Did you have prior knowledge of the local landscapes makeup or mineralogy, and terminology before you started detecting in the west, or have you learnt it all along the way, it seems you have a very good understanding of what your seeing, and probably a good memory as well! It looks like a good area to spend more time on, more gold to be found yet, Good luck, and Cheers!

Hi Wayne, the distance back to town varies, lately it's been under 100km but packing everything up makes it a day trip at least. It's pretty much learning by doing, I wish I'd knew more about the geology but comparing maps and doing research usually puts me in the right direction.

Switching back to the 7000? Interesting! And sticking with it! Picking a good area! Kicking rocks Low and slow! Get you focused on using your Skills in the proper proportions. Mother nature can be huge distraction! Learning to work with can benefit you greatly! Detecting with people that aren’t professionals can be distracting! It makes it hard on you to focus ! I understand you have your hands full trying to film. Rocky ground hot rocks heat plies and 990 other distractions. Wandering around aimlessly trying to find your focus or gold. Then you get serious and push all the distractions aside what happens. The key all meditation is your breathing! Think about your breathing and all the distractions will melt away it takes practice.

Was Kewl seeing all that "Outback" style of camping gear. I'll bet there was over Half Million bucks worth of equipment sitting there. Chasing Gold isn't so different than open water Trolling SE Alaska for the Wily Chinook (King Salmon). Equipment requirements are Very particular & spendy in addition to needing Experience & Very Good knowledge as to the best presentation (rigging and setup) and location for finding them. Even then, there's no guarantee ur gonna hook one, wrestle it to the boat w/o loosing it and then netting it. It's a game of patience in a very scenic place. But when you get Into a School at Feeding time, it's like a Chinese Fire Drill on the boat. The adrenalin hits hard, and when fishing w/ ur buddies, there's a definite competitive sense that takes place. On top of all that, a Whole Fresh Chinook Salmon is worth a few hundred bucks on the commercial market, and they are pretty tasty. Watchin you go at this isn't so different, there's no guarantees, but havin all ur ducks in a row when you swing ur Detector over a nice Chunk-o-Gold is like someone yelling "Fish ON" . . . It's Fun !! Gr8 episode, I learn something New every time ! Be Kewl, Stay Safe & Hav Fun !! Ya know, I wonder if having a Pet Iguana would take care of some of those flies ? 🤔
