Are you taking inspiration from the book The Night Land by William Hope Hodgson? Just wondering because I see many eerie similarities, your crucible cities akin to the House of Silence, the Draum and Half-Draum reminiscent of the monsters in the book, and probably many other connections are bound to happen but I don't know of because of my surface level understanding of The Night Land (I haven't read it yet). If you haven't, I think it could serve as good source of inspiration for this world. Also, your world is very intriguing, and you've (in part) inspired me to make a worldbuilding project of my own. Thank you and keep up the good work!
