I've been putting off this job for around 4 years. Thanks for giving me a method which works, even though my drier is a different model. I can add a couple of tips: 1. When pulling the line through each hole, tuck the end in your belt so you can find it easily and minimise tangles. 2: The holes in my drier arms were quite large, so I left the old line in place as much as possible and found it a useful guide.

I've watched this about 5 times. The audio version is much better than the non audio version. This is so complicated. It took him 13 minutes, it will probably take me 1 hr and 13 mins. I've never been able to lower my clothes line, I need to try that first. I love the dryer and it is fine, but the line just rotted and broke 4 times but I am still using it as is. Been in the sun for years so know it will happen. I'm so intimidated to restring this thing, but thank goodness for the video!!

I liked this video as it did help somewhat in rewiring my battered old whirligig. some close ups on the tension points might have been useful to see why that whirligig might be more desirable than the one i own though.

This is cool, but mine only has 1 hole on each pole. So, I have to figure out how to do mine.

If the holes are big enough just feed the cord through the same hole on one of the arms and start the loop back. If it is a tight fit be careful as you pull the cord through as friction could damage the cord.

My sister has a 12 row clothesline. Do i still start at the 3rd row down? There are 8 rows about the joint and 4 below it.

I started at 6 rows up and worked towards the bottom, and then took the other end and worked towards the top - that really cuts down on pulling it through

@@anneodonnell102, ok, so start at the half way point. I bought a cloth clothesline at dollar general. Supposedly durable and reinforced. It frayed. I suppose I'll have to go to Medford to get the plastic coated clothesline.
