This is the best video to review this tool, even after so many years! I noticed that it is very convenient to use it as a pocket clip, if you hang keys on it, for example, from your car. 👌

I’m honestly impressed that you were able to make a 10 minute video on this

I picked up one of these, tonight. It came down between this at $10 and the Gerber Prybrid X at $23. I looked at problem reviews with the Gerber in reference to the little #11 X-Acto blades not fitting correctly,etc. , so I went with the Slidewinder.

Thank I had a hard time changing the blade till I watched lots of help

My two Slidewinders will not accept a standard thickness, replacement blade. Only the original blade works well with the locking mechanism. I have two of them that will not accept a cheap Stanley replacement blade. The company states that it takes replacement blades. It may 'accept' them but the locking mechanism does not work with anything other than their ultra thin blades.

Hmmmm. Interesting. Mine works with other blades (not Stanley, I can recall which brand I have in there at the moment). I think they might be Milwaukee? But I will say that the lock in general is definitely not robust.

I got one about 2 months ago on your recommendation, it's great for opening Amazons packages and letters.

Nice little box cutter, ordered it in orange. I use and abuse utility blades for 99 % of my cutting, this little thing will be very useful. I wonder how durable it is, though.

Thanks for watching! They’re pretty darn durable actually. Having one side being solid stainless helps for sure. 👊🏻🍻

I sleep from time to time, lol. Thanks for watching. I think you’ll dig it, and for $10-$11 it’s worth trying. Cheers.

this tool would come in handy with its flathead screwdriver if you wanted to change the blade on your gerber utility knife lol

🤣🤣🤣 - well played. I do like the Gerber EAB, I have a couple of them. Just wish they had a quick change option. Thanks for watching!

but do you really actually EDC it on your keychain? nope. because it is still too bulky.
@GearedTowardGear16 жыл бұрын
No I don’t, which is why I didn’t mention keychain carry at all in the video. I don’t like a lot of stuff on my keys and this would certainly be too bulky. I’ve carried it around the house some, threw one in a kitchen drawer, on in the garage, and I’m not sure where the 3rd one is.

@@GearedTowardGear1 Thanks for letting us know, your honesty is appreciated. I do carry a utility blade on my keychain, everyday all the time.
@GearedTowardGear16 жыл бұрын
Hey Leech, honestly is my policy 👍🏻. What model or models of keychain utility blades do you carry on your keys? I’d consider carrying one if it wasn’t bulky and was relatively thin. Any recommendations? Cheers!

@@GearedTowardGear1 i made two reviews, search for keyword on this page: www.edcforums.com/forums/keychain-tools.81/ i'm recommending the TPT non-slide. it's on my keychain with me all the time. any thoughts on it?
@GearedTowardGear16 жыл бұрын
Is your username Kreisler on EDC Forums? If so, that’s by far the most well written review I’ve ever read, really well done! I am familiar with the TPT, I’ve seen a few reviews on KZbin and remember seeing them for sale from ITS Tacticsl a while back. Seems like a great tool, my only deterrent is the price.
