This is amazing. What I find weird is, when I watch this I think "what an offroad beast." But the wheelbase is like 12" longer than a JLU. But I see a JLU on 38s and I think, "what a silly looking Jeep." I wonder why.

I like that bed rack, who’s is it? Also do you have the red dot AC? How did you fill the holes from the armor being removed? I have too many questions😂
@dsmracer524
@dsmracer524 Жыл бұрын
Thanks! The bedrack is a Westin Overland rack for a Toyota Tacoma. I had to modify it by cutting 5” out of the length and 3” out of the width to make it fit. Eventually I’d like to move the spare tire to a Rhino swing out on an airlift bumper and mount a rooftop tent on the top of the rack. I don’t have any AC yet but am looking at options. Mine was never up-armored, so I didn’t have any holes to fill. Let me know if you have anymore questions!

It's whats called "ball joint killer" offset. The only real wheel options that should be considered for the HMMWV and H1 are factory offset wheels that have the correct offset which loads the spindle bearings evenly inside the hub. Hope this gentleman has checked his spindle nuts.

@@dsmracer524I suck at brake modulation. It is so mentally backwards to stab the brake when you need throttle. But I’m getting better. In mud and snow I’m often in trouble by the time I realize I should have been applying the brake. I’ve gotten my truck serious buried due to driver error.
