I would say not, its a summer time tent, its polyester so it would be very cold in the winter, and has fibreglass poles so not ideal for heavy winds.

Does anybody know if these Coleman tunnel tent designs come with a rain fly?

Hi, I believe the rain fly is the actual tent material since the water resistance is 4000mm hydrostatic head. It should do well in rain showers.

​@cre8iveworks how do these tents hold up to high winds? We camp in Ogallala Nebraska and the winds kick up hard! I'm looking for a tent that can fit 4-6, that won't explode in heavy storm conditions. Any suggestions?

@@cre8iveworks you're right. I ended up taking about 10 cans of waterproofing solution to the exterior. No issues with leaks.

@@awahpahpow7735 Hi, I only have experience with air beam tents and have not used a traditional pole tent to offer how it would hold up in high winds. I can say that I have 3 different air beam tents that perform very well in high winds as long as it’s pitched correctly and all the guy lines are securely pegged out. I’ve found that even if the air beam bends in the wind during storms, the beams won’t break - once the wind dies down the air beam bounces back. I’ve used both the Outdoor-Revolution Airdale tent and Outwell tents in coastal storms and high winds on the beach with no problems or damage to the beams or leaking from rain storms. The air beam tents are tested to withstand high winds and storms. For waterproofing, I would recommend at least 4000 hydrostatic head. Also, the stakes that are included with the tents work well, but I also use sand steaks when using at the beach (or in sandy areas). The only consideration to airbeam tents is that they can be heavy depending on the size and it’s also a good idea to take a good look at the ‘pack size’ dimensions for loading in your vehicle. Other than that, there are a wide range to choose from in terms of sizes and level specs and features. Also, be sure to consider specs such as mesh doors on front and side entry points as well as various ways for ventilation. Here’s a comparison on varying levels of specs, tent materials (basic polyester vs heavier polyester vs poly-cotton) and traditional poles vs air beams. The comparison displays 3 different tents ranging from basic, medium to premium specs and features, but keep in mind there are a wide array of tent options from tent material, waterproofing, tinted windows vs clear and windows with zippered shades or toggle shades, open wet/dry zones with awnings vs enclosed porch with removable groundsheets… the specs can go on and on! Yes they have a rain flysheet which is waterproof
