Sadly in my opinion Vango have seriously overdone the "ventilation " in this tent. I recently purchased one expecting a decent tent that would protect me from the elements only to find this is not the case. There is so much mesh that you can't close off properly that when the wind gets up it blows right through the tent with some force. Especially after the sun goes down and the temperature starts dropping, you really feel it. It gets quite cold and unpleasant. I very much regret purchasing mine.

There is a poled version, which is cheaper, but less quality of fabric. The Pro is the top level, the poled version is a 70 Denier www.outdoorworlddirect.co.uk/vango-galli-i-poled-awning.html

Thank you for this video. I like the balanced review. I have a few questions: I was wondering what makes it a spring to summer tent? what features would have to change to make it an all year round tent? If I was looking at a mid-level quality tent, what are the features that make it better quality and what would you recommend for a family of 4?
@OutdoorworlddirectCoUkАй бұрын
Hi, Thanks for your message, the fabric is a 70 Denier polyester, ideal for fair weather camping. For those wanting to go out earlier and later into the camping season, Polycotton or a thicker 150 Denier polyester fabric may be more ideal. Also depends on how often the product would be used. If you are a seasonal 1-3 weeks a year camper, 70 Denier is perfectly fine. If you are planning longer term camping trips, or going out 5-6 times a year for more than a week, I would say look for something more durable. Family of 4, you can choose from many great products, the Vango Homestead 650xl is ideal if you want a stronger fabric, though it does not have blackout bedrooms. If you are just a summer camper, this is a great tent for that.

Are you selling this tent or trying to persuade people not to buy it? It's cramped, it gets condensation, there's gaps in the doors, the fabric is going to break down in eight weeks. What's more you seem so excited about it, I've met more animated funeral directors.
@OutdoorworlddirectCoUk3 ай бұрын
😂only trying to give a balanced view. We try to show things in a video you would only see and hear if you could look at the product in the flesh. If you want 100% positives, try a car salesman. Yes, 6-8 weeks is correct weather pending, it's not a concrete bungalow, it's a 70 Denier, entry-level family tent.

Could a tall version be fitted to a 2m van, or would there be too much material in the connecting tunnel?
@OutdoorworlddirectCoUk5 ай бұрын
A 2m height van requires a low awning. Otherwise the connecting panel will have too much sag. Just choose the Hexaway Low and not the Tall. The connecting panel is all about the height of your van, and the following applies. Low Version - fits vans with a height of 180-210cm Tall Version - fits motorhomes between 255-295cm Hope this helps

Please confirm if the porch area has blinds? Your video says they don’t but Norwich camping refers to the blinds in their video, but confusing. Thanks
@OutdoorworlddirectCoUk5 ай бұрын
The Lismore only has blinds in the living space, not the porch area, if you look at 0,55 seconds, you will see the windows in the porch do not have curtains. This is common on all Lismore series tents, as the porch is considered an auxiliary space for storage. Hope this helps.

I notice a lot of European camping for some reason all revolves around the tent. In other countries we sleep in the tent but then generally have a separate tarp or screen house, etc. where we eat and hang out during the day or around a campfire. Seems like lots of UK camping I see people just hang out in their ten and everything is kind of contained there. They set up chairs in the vestibules and cook and do everything right in the tent.

I bought the 6.0. I'm so frustrated. How do I keep the in once I've inflated the tent? I thought it would automatically cap and keep the air in once inflated.pleaee help!
@OutdoorworlddirectCoUk7 ай бұрын
sounds like you have the valve set on open when you attach the pump. Then when you inflate the beam, and remove the pump all the air comes out the tube? Before inflating each beam, make sure you push the white button so it comes outwards. This will close the valve - then you attach the pump and inflate the beam. When you twist the pump off the valve, it will then be closed and no air will escape.

I would say not, its a summer time tent, its polyester so it would be very cold in the winter, and has fibreglass poles so not ideal for heavy winds.

I purchased the anantara iv 650 tc from your online store last year and I'm extremely pleased with the tent. It is leaps and bounds better than anything we get here in the states. I get compliments everywhere I go camping with it. I use my portable ac unit during the day and my buddy heater at night and the polycotton does a fantastic job of insulating the living space. The airbeams hold air no matter what changes in temps from 90 degree days to 40 degrees at night. Even on week long trips I never had to pump more air into it. Best investment I made ever as a camping enthusiast. Thanks outdoor world.
