When Madelyn said she feels insecure about her personality, I really feel that and I don't want to assume anything but from my own experience so far in life at 24, I notice that my personality is deemed unique- yes I am weird, funny, kind, passionate, empathetic, and I just think about things with my heart on my sleeve. I have had many people love me, but also the opposite, most actually find me weird and feel the need to make me feel like something was wrong with me as a whole, even though they were just toxic and it was about them. Don't get me wrong, of course I have flaws and I am working on those, but I am talking about people I was truly nothing but nice, caring, and loving for. A lot of what we feel about ourselves don't actually come from us- they originally come from somewhere else. That helped me realize that when I tell myself things like "something is wrong with me"- I know that isn't true. I know no one here knows me so I might be a terrible human being, but I am not haha. I am saying, have compassion for yourself and realize that a lot of people out there just are not like you or have grown up with people with your energy. Realize that people only get to see and know one part of you. You are with you 24/7- you know every special, intricate part that makes you YOU. You know yourself, so don't let people on the outside make you feel like shit when you aren't harming anyone or doing anything. I constantly feel like I am too stupid, ugly, boring, etc. But I try to remind myself of all the people who try to be my friend, remind me of why they love me, and what I personally like about myself. Madelyn is clearly so smart, funny, knowledgable, stunning, humble, kind- I felt so sad when she said that. I really get it girl. Most people won't get you, but truly, it does not mean something is wrong with you. Think about it like this- of course in this world of very different kind of people, you will be seen as different, therefore something is wrong with you. But that's just it, you're unique in your own way and it's a beautiful thing. I want to also mention that if you are an empathetic person in particular, it is actually rare (it really is). Most people won't have that and when they interact with you they won't understand you. They will find you to be off and weird, but you aren't! If you have sat down with yourself and tried to think of parts of you, or situations, where you were in the wrong- that's one thing. But if you truly know yourself, if know you are kind and have not done anything- then maybe it's about that other person
