Very nice videos, altho I seem to have come here after already uncovering most of what you reveal haha Tbh I was enjoying the DLC right up until you enter the dream world. It's comes off too convoluted to me, particularly with vision being so obscured that navigation becomes such a hassle. There is making a dark atmosphere, and then there's limiting your perspective. It feels like it's drawing out the experience which is already 4 times longer than should be! (the dream section should have just been one or two towers max).

This DLC does an excellent job of punching me in my lizard brain, panicking, running, and hiding in the dark - which means I don't have any time to think, or retain information. lol It took a while to calm down enough to learn that I could lead them around!

I’m pretty confused because when I go into starlit cove, all the lamps are lit and there are no strangers? No video seems to have this in it and I need help

Keep exploring the Starlit Cove and gathering clues until you figure out where to go to turn off all the lamps.

Thanks for the lack of spoilers. I knew what I had to do to be honest but wanted to see how you did it. My problem is the final spot because it’s that narrow walkway on the left and if I get the stranger on the left I’m basically like great. I can’t seem to lure them away and then get around them because I can’t see where I’m supposed to step and I just fall off 🙄 same with the first loop I kept falling in the water trying to sneak round. from your video : most annoying bit of the cove was knowing what the do with the raft (the hand hidden in the rocks). No sign posting in game to lead me there. I had to find it on an IGN walkthrough 🙄 I’ve definitely found the game itself (even the base game) has a lot of hints that I don’t know how I would have worked them out. Stuff like sleeping with the lantern. I found out about that from a slide which showed them going through the secret door that takes us to the cove but that slideshow was inside another dream (the one in the capsule thing? The big locked and chained prison thing) so I found out how to do the dreams from inside a dream after reading how to use the artefact on IGN post 🙄

Possible spoilers . . . . So i’v done everything I could find in the forbidden archive, but my ship log says there’s still something to be found. I’v watched all three slides, i opened and found the destroyed code, and i tried to get out of the artifacts range yet could not manage it in that archive. What am I missing cause i don’t want to have to go back down there.

You don't have to go back down if you got both of the main reels, but there is a hidden reel that takes some doing to find...

Hi! I am super stuck in this area (spoilers ahead) Caution spoilers Do not read if you don't want spoilers Okay, so when I get past the whole level, and get the final elevator to the forbidden archive, i get to one of the 'theaters' in which i can watch the slides. Okay cool. But! I cant physically find the slides to watch. The only thing there is, is a closed door. Have i done something wrong, am i too late... I am really lost!! Pls help!

Hi Ariadna, first off, thanks for the Caution Spoilers at the top of the question so people can expand the thing to get the answer! How here's my CAUTION SPOILER warning... Once you reach the forbidden archive, you're in the right place! In each one there is a special place to put your Artifact down, which opens the door.

Spoiler warning, huge shortcut possible here. . . . If you enter this world by dying in the fire you can just walk right past the alarm tower, then will only need to get past the 2 strangers at the bottom, thus skipping almost this entire section

Yep! That is true, however the player usually doesn't learn about that until after they've found this particular hidden archive.

@@SimGamerTV True, I have finished the main game and am now going back for achievements, which is how I found it. If you are looking for video idea's I think you would make great achievement tutorials for outerwilds.

@@SimGamerTV You may wanna check out another channel: The Lore Explorer. He's heavily documented the entire game with hundreds of videos and still finding more, to this day! However, it'd be grand to revisit it via your perspective as well!

Ok, im just gonna chalk this one up to me having a poor gaming setup. I came to this video hoping to study the guards' patrol pattern, but assuming what you say in the video is true, I cannot beat this section with my current iRL living arrangement. I don't need reduced frights, I need the ability to see what's in front of my face, and even the highest brightness settings don't cut it at all. I typed up two more paragraphs of a rant, but chose to delete it all and leave it at this. I'll recommend the DLC to people only to look at the pretty space station, but beyond that, I'm giving the DLC in general a thumbs-down, at least until i get further.
