It's truly a shame that Outer Wilds is not everybody's cup of tea. For some of my friends, space navigation is too difficult for them to comprehend (they just don't play games); for others, they lacked the base interest to light up their campfire of curiosity. Shame for them. The niche, hidden best game ever that is Outer Wilds was a journey for me I never had and I will never have again. Only after finally completing the story have I allowed myself to look up Outer Wilds on the internet and boy I was in for a treat. The very small community it has, has the warmest, most ambitious people out there. The stories they share, the music they share, the art they share all keep bringing me to tears still. Some things about Outer Wilds will always stay in the minds of the venturers. Such as how devastating it was when we discovered what that weird music was leading up to in the first loop. Hearing that weird music WAY EARLY when we take off the warp core from ATP, jumping in the center of Brittle Hollow for the first time, finally pulling off landing on the Sun Station and discovering its true intent... I can go on and on as I chill to this music and it brings me chills but I just HAVE to launch Outer Wilds again just to see the beautiful solar system I once lived in. May your marshmallows be roasted perfectly, venturer.

Unlike the first game, I didn't cry at the end of the dlc. I almost did. I was so impacted by the last few scenes that I had to lay back and take a deep breath to process it all. Still though, no tears. Once again, your cover brings forth all those emotions I still have left over from the dlc. You got a few tears out of me in a Dream of Home, and I finally cried during End of the Wilds/Departure. You seem to really understand this game and its music.
@Miko-Works3 жыл бұрын
Thank you, that means a lot. The music plays a big role in the emotional storytelling of this game, so I’m glad I was able to translate some of that through these covers. But man, there was a lot to unpack with those last few scenes. Like you, I almost cried at the end of the dlc. The ending music and scenes made for a really impactful farewell to this game.

@maple...3 жыл бұрын
honestly same, and i think i would have actually cried if i realized in the moment what the stick in the sand meant and where the prisoner had gone. i mean, they lived in that prison for over 200,000 years because of one act, with the option to end it all sitting right in front of them the entire time. no human would be able to do that. and when the player character comes and shows them that yes, what you did was correct, it mattered and this is what happened because of it, they were finally able to walk into the water and end their life, content

Hello, everyone! In response to the growing number of inquiries regarding sheet music/tutorials and download links for this cover, here are the answers I have: both will be available in the foreseeable future! I’m currently working on Synthesia tutorials for my previous batch of Outer Wilds piano covers. After I finish and upload those, I’ll make Synthesia tutorials for Echoes of the Eye. To me, Outer Wilds is a game about naivety. It's about stretching your hand to the stars and feeling the echoes of those who came before you. It's about hurling yourself into space in a ramshackle ship held together by nothing but hope and the burning need to discover. It's about defying the brevity of existence and thriving in a dying universe. It's about roasting marshmallows with friends around a crackling fire. It's about achieving things you never thought possible. It's about creation, destruction, life, death, comfort, fear, happiness, sadness, companionship, loneliness, past, and future. It's about rising at the end of a song written by countless authors and crying out the final note. It's about allowing a story to end, and making way for a story that's never been told before. It's a game that I will never forget.

By the end of this rendition I was near sobbing Outer Wilds deals with inevitability and death on a level unequaled by any piece of fiction I’ve ever encountered.
