Thanks...yea Joe and I are teaming up for some videos...mostly for The Out of Doors series, but he'll be involved in reviews from time to time. The Helikon gear is amazing...I am truly impressed at the comfort and performance. The quality seems to be spot on as well. Thank for coming aboard...glad to have you!

Got several pieces of Helikon gear - quality equipment. Bought the cumulus based on this review. In England we say Queue-mew-lus, as in the cloud.

Looking for a system to use while thru hiking the AT. What are your thoughts on using these?

I am a huge fan of the Outback Hybrid Pants. I think you would find those to have excellent features that would be comfortable and helpful on a long journey. I think the Blizzard series is solid, but maybe not optimum for such a prolonged trip...you could definitely find more efficiently weighted outerwear. So the pants, yes, but the rest for the AT I don't think is the most efficient...just my opinion.

Fist time I've seen someone strap a picnic basket on for a hike.

That's a traditional pack basket...not my style, but it works very well!

@@outerlimitless The precision design and purpose driven material choice makes carrying thirty pounds of warm cheese and cheap wine up mountains on hot summer days no problem at all!
