Helikon-Tex makes great products, you will probably use their gear and clothing quite a lot Eric! I've used their Bushcraft, Patrol and Outback lines of equipment (their Foxtrot MK2 Belt Rig and various pouches are excellent), as well as their Ranger, Woodcrafter gloves and fleece jackets for years. My only "complaint" about their Swagman Roll (modified and modernized poncho liner) is that it is too narrow when snapped together to use as a bag, but for a wrap and/or bottom quilt for a hammock it is pretty good in cool temps. Their products are well made, very durable, I have recommend their products to my students for quite some time! And no I don't get paid for using their gear!

ALL super high-quality products. Even the stuff sack for that Blanket/liner is better quality than some other companies' main products! Those pants would be perfect for my Thailand hiking adventures. It can get cool in the mountains there plus you can only wear long pants and long sleeve shirts when visiting some temples/shrines.

Eric great review of your new gear from Helikon-Tex. The Poncho, I'd keep that for sleeping in during them cold nights.

Watching this in my pilgrim pants... Those paracord loops ain't for lashing stuff to it, unless that's how you'd call using the old style 2 point suspenders. The old ones, M1959 suspenders fit them as well as their new branded forester suspenders.
