Kind of and could be, it's an interesting theory... but actually he was afraid of not being in control of the situation. Aro's gift was different to Edward's, in the books they describe it as invasive and malicious. The person in contact with him could feel Aro in their mind, and that's why they were afraid of him, apart from Jane and Alec. But I don't remember if they mention if Aro could feel what he was seeing. Also I don't remember if Renesmee just show memories or if you could feel her...

I think the book part would have done it more justice, personally. Bella actually specifically requests for Jacob and Emmett to back her up. Emmett is usually not a choice that she typically would choose, so I feel like her actually calling for him by name had a deeper meaning than just by looking.

I knew she was trying to get me to like it, but it did the opposite. She ended up being annoyed with me. I would headcanon it's due to our english being probably like his 60th language - he's from a time when english wasn't recognizable as today's english. He's gonna sound different. Of course the real reason is because Sheen picked a quirky creepy persona for the part, and I think it works, he's a bright spot in these middling movies.

It's been awhile since i read the books but that's not how i remember her power. She was able to see everyone more like a radar and she could give as many people her protection as she wanted with significant range. She also didn't have to stand still and concentrate.

I like Michael Sheen‘s portrayal. The character is not as dull, dried out and convinced of the world around him, unlike his brothers. There is still some “human” curiosity and interest left.
