She DOES realize that Jacob imprinting on her daughter is what saved ALL of their lives on the night Renesmee was born, right? I mean Sam and his pack were ATTACKING her family and they would have killed everyone, including and especially her daughter, had Jacob not imprinted with her when he did. They believed this child was an abomination that should be destroyed, and they were willing to kill Bella, as well, to ensure the safety of their pack and the town. Its only because its their most absolute law that they cannot harm anyone that their pack has imprinted with that spared them all from certain death in that moment. She could be a BIT more grateful about that. Even Edward said this.

Dont know if you noticed, but he seemed to be more into older gals. Plus, Quil explains it in Jacob's half of the book: when looking at other girls, he'd just see blank faces, and nothing matters. But then he visits with claire, and suddenly she was simply the only thing keeping him there on the planet. Parental relationships with their children, if a healthy sort, is the same way to an extent. They dont have to love their charge romantically to love and protect them as one of their own family.

In real nature it is somewhat different though. Usually a baby animal imprints on the first living being it sees, and then follows it until it can take care of itself. It is supposed to be the mother it imprints on, that will nurture, guide, and teach the baby, until it can go its own way.🐾😌

The Cullens shouldn't find Jacob imprinting on a child funny especially Edward they pretty much f%cked up Jacob & his tribes lives Bella is a nuisance to both the coven & the pack. Edward was only attracted to her because he couldn't read her mind & Bella only wants Edward because he's vampire if Edward were human, she wouldn't even look in his direction she would've written him off as just another hot rich guy. Meyer could've at least had Jacob imprint on Leah that way he would've been out of Bella's life forever he can live his life & she can live hers with the Cullens gone no more pack members would shift they can lead normal lives.
