Ok, so I'm a teacher at an elementary school and I get a little behind on my KZbin subscriptions after spring break. I am a couple months late on this but I gotta say...I LOVE YOU!!! You have become my imaginary best friend when I go shopping. When I try something on and I start to pick apart my body in it, I have started to think, what would Cora say?...obviously you would say, "You're body is beautiful," and I look at myself in a new way and I have tried things I was scared of before. They're also an Australian brand. Been around for about 25 years now (they were called Big City Chic but it was changed because of the 'Big' negative word). My mum used to wear them and now I do! Glad they modernised well. I'm a CC addict, I have 200+ items some with me and the rest is in my storage! I have some CC items that have lasted 12 years!

Omg you held up the black pleated dress and I thought “Fortuny Delphos gown” and then you talked about Fortuny’s signature pleated gown! I love that you incorporated your knowledge of fashion history. I love the color of that brown tee. I would have called it Tobacco maybe, but I love warm browns like this & they've been difficult to find the last few years. I also like the shorter length. While I can certainly appreciate a tunic with leggings, my main complaint with plus sized tops is how ridiculously long most of them are. Like past your crouch long which throws off your proportions giving you stubby legs or "marshmallow on toothpicks" proportion. It's nice to see a plus size tee shirt that isn't a mini dress & I won't have to roll it under to wear it out or tuck in yards of fabric. Hopefully it won't shrink when washed. The hat is cute & looks adorable on you- keep it! Bras & shoes- I can't skimp or go cheap on either. I save money on other things :)

And because the quality is so high, you can actually buy City a chic secondhand and have it be a great buy, unlike the cheap fast fashion stuff that falls apart really quickly. Though to be honest, I don’t see ever donating my City Chic stuff. I’ve got dresses that I bought 10+ years ago, and they still look brand new - and trust me, I have worn them a LOT! They’re the only brand I’ll buy pants from- so I’m really hoping they hurry up and come out with some wide-legged Marlene pants! I just don’t trust the fit from even Collectif. Also, even though I wear solely vintage, they usually have at least a few vintage style dresses every season, so there’s always something there for me that I love. Also as an Aussie, I’m so jealous that you have ThredUP. We just don’t have anything quite like that here and I’m really hoping they start shipping internationally soon- I’ll pay whatever it takes!

I'd return the Madewell hat. The overall proportions looks too small, and the brim is useless for sun protection. It's fine for pictures, but doesn't seem practical for outside wear. I'm a US size 8, so I am not your direct target audience; but I love these videos because you give wonderful, in-depth reviews on the pros and cons of your purchases. That is so helpful to me because it aids in my search for clothing gifts for loved ones.

Wait, City Chic sells outside of Australia? That’s awesome! I’m a massive fan- they sell high quality, very cute plus size fashion, the only issue is that they can get a little pricey. But- they will last a long time! I have City Chic dresses that I bought 10+ years ago, and they still look brand new! Highly recommend, especially if you want to get away from fast fashion and to keep your clothes for longer.

Also, the interesting sizing is that the numbers are probably Australian sizes- because I’m the same size. That is, a 22 in Australian. Their letter size is different though- they start their numbers at XS- which is a 14 Australian (I think a 10 in US sizes?). So their letter sizes relate to their sizes only. They start their letters where they start their sizing. But the numbers are Aussie (and UK) sizing- which if you’re American, just add two sizes and you’re in the ballpark. I’m a 22 Australian, and an 18 US.
