I liked all the lessons you have taught in this series so far. The toolbox build is smart, but also simple. It’s ideally KISS. Thanks 🙏

Love the box. I made a small Japanese tool box with butt joints but as I am working on dovetails now I think a remake is in order. Great ideas for the lid. Thanks for sharing mate.

Love it, learned a lot. All I did was watch it. Right now I don't need a toolbox. But I think I would like the top better if that French cleat was on the inside so the top fit flush so I could stack stuff on it. I wish I watched this before I bought my bandsaw I obviously could have done better. Also, I would not have yelled and screamed at my wood plans and thrown them in the trash if I had watched this first. So there's more to wood grain than meets the eye.

I am just starting to put a woodworking shop back together after a 15 year break. My son now has all my old equipment so I’m in the rebuilding stage. One great thing today that we didn’t have 15 years ago are KZbin and great woodworking channels like this one. Keep the videos coming!

I like the fact that you use a lot of hand tools to do your work ....that’s the way it was when I first started in carpentry and wood working 55 years ago.... I lost my bench, jack and smoothing plane when someone stole a job box. I still do woodworking but little carpentry on homes now because of arthritis that has taken over my body. People don’t want to pay for quality now just SPEED I still have a wooden carpenters box I built in the size of the metal carpenters box of the early 70 s and still have a diston 10 point saw in the bracket I built in the lid...it also has a tray I built with sections for small tools, pencils, nail sets, scribes, bevel squares etc. there is a slot cut for a framing square. And plenty of room for tools in the bottom actually other then power tools and long levels what’s in that box built many homes.

Thanks. Might be time to start teaching someone to use what's in that box.

You mentioned that the top could be configured any number of ways. The first thing I thought of was set it up as a shooting board. Love the Milk Paint
@wortheffort4 жыл бұрын
others have done that too. my thought was when not being used as a shooter what to do with.
@rjamsbury14 жыл бұрын
You could have a couple of small tools fixed under the lid. Say squares, bevel gauges etc
@131dyana4 жыл бұрын
What a neat box you made. You thought of every thing for safety and getting things right at hand. You are right. Milk paint does come in a powder and has to be used right away.

So I could look them up and maybe purchase them myself bc I am never lucky enough to win anything. Ps your a great teacher and found your channel a couple days ago now I watch your class every night before bed. Thanks again and have yourself a great day

For someone who "Don't do math" you are using quite a lot of geometry. Is it arithmetic you try to avoid?
