Road Trippin. If I figure out the little cargo trailer build I want to do to haul behind my GTI I'll probably take along my Bambino Plus.... but if I'm just going in my car one of these would be handy!

I have the Gadgelux. It also heats the water and works with either ground beans or pods. I choose to heat the water in a kettle and only use fresh medium dark beans and it makes incredible espresso. It’s creamy and delicious with crema.

@MichaelMa10 ай бұрын
was going to leave an review saying that I loved my outin nano at first, and got some good use out of it for a month, but ended up moving to a picopresso and buying a portable water boiler....but that nonpressurized filter basket may change everything. Just learned about it from your video and ordered it right away. My only complaint was that the standard filter basket is to small. And it's a pain in the butt to fill and tamp. And having to fill that tiny basket twice, boil and brew half your shot, and then load up another basket and boil and brew again...just didn't want to do it. but the new nonpressurized basket holds 18g, just like picopresso. This may be the perfect device... Thanks for the video! I upgraded my Dedica with a Rancillio steam wand watching your videos as well. Thanks for that also!
@TomsCoffeeCorner10 ай бұрын
I got the larger basket set, but haven't tried it yet. Where did you find it by the way? It doesn't seem to be on market yet...
@MichaelMa9 ай бұрын
My bad....it is a 18g basket but it may be pressurized. Just got it in the mail after waiting 3 weeks. I ordered it from the outin website under accessories. But still solves my problem only being able to pull with 8g of coffee each time. I really hope it's not pressurized and only looks like a pressurized basket from the bottom
@MichaelMa9 ай бұрын
So to follow up I just made 2 shots... they tasted incredible. Better than my dedica. Sweeter and better clarity. Not sure why that is. Also it's a non-pressurized and non-bottomless basket. This thing just replaced my picopresso. No more boiling 3x the water in a separate boiler. No more warming up. No more pumping a hot cylinder. The dosing funnel is a lot more substantial on the outin and tamping is more satisfying on the outin. Only speak8ng of the basket plus

I have been traveling for years with personal coffee making items, this Outin devise is by far the BEST travel maker, One downside to me is that there is not a travel bag offered for it. SO I have had to create one, as I do not want anything to happen to this machine.
@anjapinkau37372 ай бұрын
But there is a travel case! Costs about 40 USD. You can stash the machine, the cable, coffee pods, the extension set (with a 18g non pressurized filter basket, funnel, tamper, WDT tool) etc. in it.

Hi Tom, thank again! Slowly but steady I'm watching a lot of your're content. The guys from @sage should thank you since It's only bacause of your reviews I got interested in the touch impress... (it's on its way now). But my first espresso machine was the Wacaco Picopresso... I've been using it for 4 months now. Almost 12 shots per week and it is great! Realy a good and affordable start within the world of espresso. (for those who are intrested in a esprosso for your camping journeys it's on sale now). But I would really like to see and hear your take on the picopresso also. Thx again. Greetings

I bought a Conqueto portable espresso machine. Concept is great, lots of accessories very disappointing and it’s taller than the OutIn. I got the OutIn - much happier. Wish the OutIn had a replaceable battery but I like the USBC option and the grounds basket. It heats water much more quickly. Take it on business trips, flights, and to Mexico. Note: average price for Espresso in Mexico was 4.75 CDN. A shot. No thanks…. This OutIn saved me that expense.

I wish they made a proper stand for this like the coffee Jack. I know this is portable but I’m sure most would like to use this at home in a fixed location when they aren’t out traveling

*i like the idea that it heats the water, however it takes lots of energy to heat up water. Thats why you could probably only get 3 espressos from 1 charge*

Got the Kingrinder 6 on the way. If you could only pick one of the two, would you go with Picopress or Outin... or is there another product that caught your eye? Based on your vids, I am leaning towards Outin (heats its own water, delivers hotter shots). My only worry is that batteries tend to degrade faster than advertised. How are they holding up? How about the Starissa.. seems like similar product with similar ratings but half the price as the Outin.?
@TomsCoffeeCorner8 ай бұрын
The Picopresso does a better job with espresso and is fun to use. The Outin is cool if you don't have any way to heat water though. Cheers!

@@TomsCoffeeCorner Outin prices on E-bay are rather low (compared to Amazon) even with shipping. To me, that is a bad sign, either they are selling previous models or the return rate is so high that they get resold on ebay (I feel the Stilosa is like that)

Tom, I'm still struggling to get a decent milk foam with Dedica EC685. I can't find an alternative steam wand easily here and tried to froth with or w/o the outer layer, to no avail. My foam is either too dense (mostly in Cappucino mode) or totally non existant (in Hot Milk mode or w/o the outer layer).
