I love interviews like this, have only seen it more of late but rather than pointed questions, it's lovely just to hear our favorite actors in normal conversation. Caitriona Balfe and the rest of the Outlander cast are just lovely people. And props to the interviewer!

It is so wonderful to know that there are people like Caitriona Balfe in this world. I think her attitude about the bullying is right on. Why waste energy on such negativity, “ get off your computer and go help someone “ . I love her acting on Outlander and how she is so down to earth in these interviews. Such a real and beautiful person inside and out.

Oh and with Sam, jealousy is an ignorant thing. Mean people say mean things. Sam has way more fans than the dumb butts harassing him. He's a good guy it's clear they are jealous of him. I am old. I have had people be mean to me in my life time but I feel sorry for them that they have nothing better to do in their lives. Sam will always out shine them. Trust me, his fans really love him and want him to be happy.

Sam is most definitely a great guy but he’s also not helping himself by refusing to acknowledge his bad judgment when he decided to travel to HI for vacation *after* Paley was cancelled due to the pandemic and parts of California were *already* on lockdown and the rest of California followed two days later. There was no travel ban before or after he traveled. That was never the issue.
@verlaharmston92774 жыл бұрын
@@erajazz2134 Whether Sam went to HI or should' not have gone is old news, and on the scale of everything, petty. He has self isolated, not caused any problems outside of those who feel insulted that he went and has done all he can to help. As Cait said, there are so many REAL issues people could and should get involved with. Why after a month are people still beating a dead, insignificant horse to death? Move on and let Sam and especially his friends and family have the same right to privacy that you have.
@erajazz21344 жыл бұрын
@@verlaharmston9277 Oh I agree with most of what you said. I was only pointing out (or trying to) that the issue was made bigger than it had to be by Sam not saying he made an error instead of talking about inexistent travel bans. That was something quite simple to say and the story would have ended right there. I absolutely do not condone his being harassed. However, I can see cause and effect.
@verlaharmston92774 жыл бұрын
@@erajazz2134 I do appreciate your comment. For the last few days, everywhere you turn people are complaining about not opening things up and others that we should stay quarantined. Sam's decision turns up on every media site even today and it just feels so small by comparison to all that is happening now and so much negativity about everything. Sam made a mistake by mentioning it in the first place. Apologize or not, I don't know. It just seems like he has tried in every way but an "I am so sorry for going to HI on a vacation. I should never have done this" to show concern and support for being there. I know of some people who were in HI when the travel ban went in to effect. They came home. I don't know if they went before or after the ban went into effect but I know came home afterward. Not one word is said about the average person who might have been caught during this time. I guess the bottom line is, he is high profile which makes his every action of interest. While that goes with his job, remembering that and living with that are exhausting. Can we not concentrate on issues like opening or keeping closed the states and their businesses or who is running for office? By comparison Sam in HI and not apologizing for being there seems so trivial. It is not a point to argue or get upset about. I am just spouting my opinion as well. I hope all is well at your house.

How Irish is her accent? I'm from Newfoundland but live in mainland Canada. My Newfoundland brogue still exists, when I'm around my people. But generally it's washed out. With Caitrona, I can never tell. Her accent sounds "leveled", but her Irish accent still shines through, sometimes. ? 😂
@higginsba4 жыл бұрын
She was born in Dublin, but moved to Monaghan (up Monaghan!💙) and has a mild MN accent (brogue mean shoe in Irish, and it used to be used as an insult, i.e. you sound like you have your shoe in your mouth when you talk)

Would love to visit someday! Had hoped to get to PEI & Nova Scotia in next month or two, but now...unlikely. Stuck in a hotel in NYC as I'm frontline in our hosp (Neurosurgery PA covering COVID+ ICUs for the time being) and can't go home & risk getting fam sick, so this is a nice light distraction before back in again 😔😷🏙️🏥 Stay safe! 🤞
