I have been an avid follower of this series. I do not want it to end. Please continue this series. Perhaps Season 9 and 10. The acting is superb. The story is wonderful. There will never be a series like this. Please encourage the actors to continue. I have watched each episode several times throughout the years.

So funny to hear them talk about the sex scene with Briana and Roger; I felt that way too, but didn't know it was that way for anyone else. It was horrible!! They just couldn't keep up with Claire and Jamie!! Glad we finally get to see the second half of Season 7, but hate to see the whole show end with Season 8. (from Sandi)

I was, am will ALWAYS be a diehard fan!! I rewatch this series can’t wait til November! I don’t think I have ever loved a show as much as Outlander! Jamie will be my next husband 😜 It’s not their fault everyone went on strike!! It wasn’t just Outlander it was ALL shows who were held up by the strike! Another series that I liked came out with their final season after the strike & they rushed it & it was 💩! So I’m glad Outlander didn’t rush it! Even tho we had to wait so long if they would’ve just rushed thrown something together it would’ve ruined the entire series!! &&&& we would be here complaining about that instead of anticipating something we know will be good!! The show Yellowjackets their new season isn’t coming out til (they say) early 2025 & it’ll be going on almost 2yrs depending on the release date Samething with Netflix Stranger Things ALL long awaited due to the strike!

No, you’re wrong. There’s an 8th season that’s wraps up the entire Revolutionary War period where Jamie does pass and Claire returns to her rightful time in the latter part of the 20th century.

They have just finished filming Season 8, so yes, there will be one. I'm guessing it will come out in Nov-Dec 2025. And Season 7 part 2 is up now on Starz.

Have read the books (a couple of times) and watched all the seasons several times, there’s just something about this show… yes, covid stuffed up a lot of tv shows and movies and there are many delays and I don’t like them taking so long between seasons, but I still can’t wait for the next series… in the meantime, I’ll just re-read books 5-9 🙄

Losing interest because the story has just gotten so ridiculous... Claire creating/brewing penicillin and ether in a colonial kitchen?! While it's technically possible (congrats/props to the author for doing her research), but the absurdity of it is hard to look past. But I get the attraction for it from all the lonely/divorced +50yrs old cat ladies out there...

I have lost interest for the most part. Dropped my Stars subscription. After season 7 part 2 will no doubt have to wait another year to or final season. I can wait for the reruns and see it all at one time like a real series.

Even, though, I really like the show I realize that the main premise is utterly ridiculous. I am not talking about the time travel aspect of it, that is what drew me to the series in the first place but the fact that everybody and their brother now appears to be traveling from the 20th century to the 18th century and vice versa. You think the world might have gotten wise to this with so many people traveling through this time warp or whatever it is supposed to be. Also, Claire is a woman of the mid 20th century. No matter how hunky Jamie is, who in their right mind would think she would give up living in the mid 20th century with so many modern conveniences to go back and live in the 18th century which is like returning to the Stone Age. I hardly believe that besides she had a new husband waiting for her in her rightful time. The fact is as a 20th century woman, there’s no damn way in hell, she wouldn’t have returned to Phillip the guy she newly married in her proper time and is almost as hunky as Jamie and gone back to living the life she expected to live instead of staying in the god forsaken 18th century and living like she’s almost in prehistoric times. That just would never happen. The author is romancing a time that was so unbelievably brutal especially for women that no rational person let alone a woman would ever choose to remain in unless there was no other choice. Claire has a choice and she would have gone through those stones at first chance like she was on fire. To write that Claire, a medical doctor, would choose to stay in a time when most of the populace thought she could be a witch because of her education and training defies any type of common sense, whatsoever. She would have so happily returned to Phillip and kissed the ground when she got back to where she actually belonged and never gone near those damn stones, again. Lol

Series made it clear early on that characters from the past cannot travel to the future. Only characters from the future can travel to the past like Claire, her daughter Brianna, though, Brianna was conceived in the 18th century with Jamie being her biological father she was born in the 20th century since Claire was carrying her when she went back through the stones the 1st time to her own time right before the battle of Culloden. Of course, Roger, Brianna’s husband can, also, travel back in time because he, too, is a man from the 20th century.
