Good thing you realized it, would've probably sheared the end of the axle off. Thanks Man!

I was watching you install the new axel and I was wondering if you could tell me how you lined the axel up inside the diff before you drove her down flush with the diff housing?
@RobFarrowATV Жыл бұрын
Slide it in slowly and turn it slowly as you slide it, then when you feel it grab the splines and slide a bit more, you should be good to give it the last push. Good luck!

I have to do the tie rod and cv axle on mine. Do you think I could get the nuts/bolts off for this job without an impact? I have a breaker bar so hoping that will be good enough and not have to go buy an impact.
@RobFarrowATV10 ай бұрын
You should be able to loosen them with just a socket and wrench. I use the impact cause it's easier and faster. Good Luck!

Any tips on a rear axle? going to be doing one soon.

Not really, just make sure you pull it straight out and put it straight in and that it's all the way in. Good luck!

2010 CanAm Outlander 500 Max, can’t get the front left shaft out, it won’t pop out like yours, kind of like it’s attached or something. Is there a special way to do this.
@RobFarrowATV3 жыл бұрын
I am assuming your trying to get the left front "axle" out? Might need some coaxing. There's videos that show how to wrap a strap around the axle and then swing a large hammer outward to pop the axle out...that should do the trick, there's just a clip holding the axle in place but sometimes if they don't have any grease they seize up a bit. Good luck!

Is it normal for the diff fluid to run out when you remove the axle?
@RobFarrowATV3 жыл бұрын
Yep. If you're removing the axle you should drain the diff first unless you want a mess. LOL! Make sure the diff fluid is clean and mot milky or brown. If it is then you have a seal leaking. If it's clean then you're good. I usually change the fluid once a year regardless.

Where do you get parts for your atv, I have a 2017 outlander 850 xmr and can never find any parts for it, I need a right rear axle, mine is the same way as yours
@RobFarrowATV6 жыл бұрын
I get my stock parts straight off the BRP online Web Site in Quebec...unless my local dealer has them in Stock. Everything else I shop around and ask questions on Can Am facebook sites. My dealer had the axle in Stock. ..I like the stock axles, they are very strong! Thanks for watching! Good luck with your repairs!
