Outlast 2 Any% Speedrun

Two new skips helped save over 40 seconds, plus some small optimizations here and there. Obviously this wasn't perfect run, sub 1:46 is possible. Very happy that I could do both new skips pretty fast on my first attempt (22:00 and 23:40 in the video).

I think the gameplay and level design were heavily lacking compared to the first game, but i do agree i love the story and graphics and player interactions, it felt more real, all of that is what made this game so enjoyable

That's called an S+Q (Save and Quit). He uses it for various reasons but it is mainly to recover his stamina. If you do an S+Q you don't have to wait for your stamina to recharge making it so you are able to keep running. Other reasons he might use it is to put himself forward a little or to skip small animations.
