Outlast Speedrun

Decided to try insane difficulty speedrun after long time. First time doing it on PC (besides one run earlier this week). There lots of difficult skips and tricks, so I had quite a few time losses here. I will try to improve and go for sub 20 eventually.

He found some by playing around, others from the community found others. And there are other speedrunners who use the same techniques. You just have to look around.

Console has door clip patched. Also there is only 1 loadscreen on pc between first chapter and prison, but on console each chapter has one.

How does Miles still have his fingers? I mean usually if you glitch past the Trager section of the map you magically lose your fingers.

No? He never died or loaded a check point. How is he supposed to lose them? Think a little. He did hundreds of runs and they are always there. Ofcourse he runs on a specific version that is best for speedrund. I don't know if something changed on the currenr build. But if you just glitch through the levels without going through the animation you neither lose your fingers nor damage the camcorder

@@Jartran72 that's not completely true, only reason he doesnt lose fingers/break the camcorder is because insane has no saves/loads. if you load any point in the game past trager/dropping the camera, the effect from the event will be present. because hes on insane and there are no map loads, as well as him skipping those two sequences, there is nothing to lose in the missing fingers or broken camera

Because you fall through the floor and die. On any other dificulty you reach the checkpoint though and respawn. On insane you can't respawn and the run fails.

@@enchantedhamburger8934 Courtyard and female ward i always mess up on in someway most often by forgetting where i need to go and also panicking since i am far in the game

@@DirtyDillers courtyard i suppose the chris parts, first one just stay silent, go on the sides avoiding the middle area where he is, then climb on the boxes and ur safe, second if you want to do a glitch just crouch and uncrouch to bug the enemy and it wont kill you, it not just circle around that little thing with benches (p.s. the walrider cant kill you in the part where it jumpscares you) Female ward i guess the fuses part is the problem, id say first go on in the room with the key, and jump over that thing near the fuse box, which leads you to a room with 1 fuse, remember after you get the fuse a guy will spawn next to the corner of the hallway, so wait for him to go into the big room where you got the fuse and close him in there, if you think he is gonna hit you and want to dodge dont jump left/right, just jump backwards, then go on the long hallway with the 2 rooms and go on right, theres a bed which you jump over if it helps, get the 2nd fuse, then go to the 3rd room and get the 3rd fuse (the last room should have a guy in the room, get the fuse and run, he just walks but can kill you, then i dont think any other part is that hard in female ward, maybe that part with the twins, just hide in a room where it says "they lie" they wont go there.
