Even today, almost 8 years after the first Outlast was released, it still hasn't been dethroned as the king of horror games. Sure, there are more visually beautiful games out there, but no other horror game has ever made me want to play it time and time again. No other horror game gets even close to the experience that is Outlast (and the Whistleblower DLC).

Me too, but I always like playing horror games for that reason. Gives you the feeling of accomplishing and 'surviving' the game and making it through all the scary moments it had to offer. Almost like you faced your fears and beat the game when other people were afraid to pick it up, or the people who played it once and quit when they got scared and never touched it again.

Just finished playing the DLC! Wayyyy more than I expected. A lot of variety and a lot of both fresh and familiar faces. Still some questions by the ending but for the most part, I feel Red Barrels fleshed out the story in a unique way from Waylon Park's perspective.
