I don't think that it aims for the multiplayer mode here. Most likely we will have some companions to help or maybe even protect us from other people/monsters, which would be awesome since the main character probably won't give us the satisfaction to fight back our pursuers (although I hope that we can to some extent, like maybe outsmarting and tricking a bigger opponent into his death..) I can only hope for the best! And it also looks like we might not need the camera anymore.... And judging by the fact that it takes place during the Cold War, our character might (I'm using this word a lot, I know) be a soldier.......

The song that is playing in the teaser is from 1958, on a record player theoretically from the same time. Which makes me believe that the story of Outlast Trials will take place in that period. 2. The goal of the scientists in this teaser is to create '' Super-Humans '', unlike Dr. Wernick, who wanted to separate the mind from the body with the Walrider Project. The story of Outlast Trials will take place during the Cold War, which dates back to the MK-Ultra Project. The MK-Ultra Project consisted of making tests on human beings so that they become super soldiers. The teaser suggests that scientists wanted patients to have night vision. That was the goal of scientists at that time: to create superhumans. Detail: The MK-Ultra conspiracy theory supposedly happened in the early 1950s and ended in the early 1960s. 3. Similarities. In an image published by Red Barrels ( @t ) we saw a vehicle in the right corner, which looks like pickup trucks from the 50s and 60s. 4. If the developers doesn't go that way with timeline then it must be a secret undected way to test the project. Like if they go 1980 which I highly doubt then it would be a scenario of testing the project secretly but I 100% agree with you. Game can only take place between 1950 till 1969 before 70s. Anthony Walker it’s a long explanation but if you look it up the story is explained . Pretty much the whole town in Outlast 2 was an experiment from Murrcoff like in the first game. That bright beam in the sky was them causing the people of the town to have hallucinations and dream like stages which caused them to go crazy about the whole anti christ thing. The religious part of the game was all a hallucination. If you watch videos they also explain why you have the school hallucinations and how Lynn’s baby wasn’t even real and it was a phantom baby like was said in a document in the whistleblower Dlc. It sounds confusing but I recommend everyone that’s played that game to watch a vid about the ending explanation.

I have such a love hate relationship with the Outlast games. The scares, the brutality, the heaviest atmosphere ever in gaming, it's so unnerving yet immersive and overall well done. I'm talking about watching, of course. I could never play these games.
