Now that you mention it. Mine had this too. But it did work when I got a better pc. Video and especially sound drivers gave a lot of trouble on those old Pentiums. I still think it is one of the best fps games ever made. I still play it occasionally. And unlike most games, it did age well. It is a rather brutal game on Bad mode and even more on Ugly mode. I never forget the Aliens and the Cowboy rabbit.

Played this as a free demo on Windows 95 that came free with PC Gamer magazine then bought it with Christmas money and played it on a massive new Packard Bell PC on Windows 95. That was a great time to be a gamer. I remember loads of great games came out over the next couple of years: Outlaws, Dark Forces, original top-down GTA 1 and 2, Red Alert, Tomb Raider, Conmandos: Behind Enemy Lines, Terminator: Future Shock & Skynet, Star Wars: X Wing vs Tie Fighter. The tech was always outdated and the games were buggy as hell but what a great time to be a kid and enjoy this emerging technology. The 90's really was such a great decade to be a kid.

I first saw this game when I was maybe 9 pr 10 at a farming convention. At the time the N64 had just come out and 3D was still in its infancy and 2D platformers were most of what I had known. I was blown away. For years I never knew what this was or if it was a complete game or simply a tech demo, I only remembered a FPS with chickens flapping around. A random TikTok showed an Easter egg from this game and I went on KZbin to look it up, I feel like I just restored a childhood memory to full

I still remember the trick about that telescopic sight, if at some point you don't have enough ammo for the carbine, you can just aim with the scope, and then switch to the revolver and shoot, and the revolver will hit the target exactly at any distance.

I discovered this gem when I researched more of the history of the first Dark Forces game, of which this game (and this game alone) shares its engine. I honestly cant believe this is a 90's game with how advanced it is. Reloading, sniping (which was used to great effect), fairly good graphics, a killer sound track and a thoroughly entertaining story make this an outstanding game that sadly so few will ever know about. Thanks for the longplay!
