sometimes I don't capitalize certain letters when I write by hand bc I'm too lazy XD I think it's plenty valid to worry about imperfect grammar as a writer but it can also make you feel more personable, just like messing up words when speaking. tbh what I love about your videos, even when you mess up (or maybe especially then) is that I feel like I'm just chilling with a friend and we're hanging out and talking about a similar interest. Be unapologetically and authentically you bc 1) you're perfect just the way you are and 2) it's gonna attract the audience you'll want to have here :D

I totally agree and resonate when you said about feeling like you're sometimes a bad writer vs good writer cause I also sometimes feel like that too especially knowing that I'm gonna be trying to query my debut novel but it does make me feel much more comforted knowing that if my story gets rejected for whatever reason, it doesn't mean I'm a bad writer or that the story is bad per se. It's just that certain agents are looking for certain things and they might not vibe with certain stories the same as how readers might not vibe with certain stories like you said how you didn't like one author's book but ended up liking another so keeping these things in mind definitely helps a bit cause we're all trying our best! 🤣👍🏾 Also I'm autistic so I have my own struggles too with insecurity and it definitely makes writing a bit harder for me which is why I'm glad for revisions so I can go back and fix anything that I've written

exactly! someone else's tastes has nothing to do with the quality of your writing ✨ also you make such a good point about revisions! it definitely takes away the pressure of your first draft because you can always go back! thank you for sharing!

I love your perception on writing and I think you are a pantser. That's what I am and it's a mix of planning and just flying by intuition and random thoughts.

yeah I couldn't stick to a strict outline from start to finish even if I tried haha

I am a pantser with plotter aspirations? For November, I laid out an outline but then my characters acted out and went different directions. Threw new scenes in and I had to go with it. Keep it up!

dude these characters stay acting up!! but ultimately it's for the best so it is what it is haha

I totally relate to just letting the story come out however it happens, haha. Sometimes I try to label myself and then I’m like… idk, my process isn’t streamlined. I just roll with it 😅
@itsamina8 күн бұрын
facts! also i realized that even if i label myself, there are even nuisances between people who also label themselves the same way so we might as well just vibe lol

I've heard some people use Scrintal over Milanote, but I've never used either myself to compare. Scrintal looks like it's made specifically for writers, but Milanote from what I've seen looks kinda like if a notepad and Pinterest had a baby so looks easy to use.
@itsamina8 күн бұрын
thanks for bringing that up! i've heard many things about scrintal so i'm open to trying it out for sure. i was initially leaning more towards milanote because i know for sure there's a free version but i'm not sure if scrintal has one. but if it's worth the cost then i'd look into it!
