The tip about using categories and "@" label (e.g. @work, @home) is so helpful. Will implement from today! Thanks from an intern who is trying to stay on top of everything in a new workplace :)

Amazing stuff! Never knew Outlook had so many functions. I've switched jobs and am moving away from Trello for security reasons. This really helped me make the switch

Lovely video content! Sorry for the intrusion, I would appreciate your thoughts. Have you thought about - Sanailey Inconceivable System (do a google search)? It is a great one off product for getting the success you deserve using this proven betting system without the headache. Ive heard some amazing things about it and my friend Sam finally got excellent results with it.

Fantastic - thank you. I've always wondered if there was a way of filtering tasks to just show tasks and not emails.

Helped me a lot thanks. Any tips for making tasks when in meeting where you dont have outlook present? And is it possible (with rules maybe?) to auto change an email to a task? For example: when I receive an email from my self with the word "task" in the subject, it will automatically make a task of it.

Very useful video. Thank you. How can I assign an e-mail to urgent/read etc., but also into a project category? e.g. Project A, Project B. This way I could do all urgent tasks for Project A and then all urgent tasks for Project B which would allow me to focus better, instead of jumping between projects when completing individual tasks. Do you have a recommendation?

2:10 - Can you tell me what message class filter to use if I want to see Journal Items?

Can you filter the task bar under your calendar with the message class that contains task? Or, is it only in the task bar in the mail tab that you can do that.

@7:23 narration says "collapse all headers" when the menu item being clicked on in the video reads "Collapse All Groups."

Hi. Firstly thank you. I found this tutorial great - been using Outlook since forever but always just never got it organised. This was a break through. BUT you used 2010? So in the Tasks section at 4:55 in your video there are icons on the left in the "Arrange by Folder view" in 2013 - Nada. Is there a setting I can change as thats so cool to SEE the item you are dealing with? I tried every right click I could find in the hope I could find the setting to amend but no luck. Any suggestions, help? Thanks

Thanks for the great question. Right-Click "Arrange By" -->View Settings-->Columns...-->select "ICONS"--> ADD. Boom! you have icons!

When you set up the filter for the Tasks view (around 2:09) all my tasks disappear (whether they are email tasks or tasks I manually entered). How can I fix this? EDIT : Sorted it out! Instead of Tasks, write ipm.task

I was having the issue where my emails that I assigned to categories were appearing in my task list. I followed your steps around 2:00 for clearing up the task pane. That worked for my tasks view, but I'm still seeing those emails in the task bar at the bottom of my calendar. Is there a way to remove those email tasks from my calendar view as well? Also, I have the issue that after I categorize messages, they aren't grouping together by conversation. So instead of one group of messages colored urgent, I see 5 separate messages, which is a bit overwhelming. Is there a way to group conversations within the different email categories (urgent, when possible, and when response arrives)?

Hi, my emails action list doesn't come in my to -do list, only the tasks I created. What to do to get emails there as well?

How did you set the view to have hours vertically? I can't pull up the task menu in the calendar view.

So, I am confused how to reconcile this task process with your process from the 1st video with categorization of emails. So what happens when you complete an action - I go to my task list and click ok. Do I also have to go to the action email folder and delete from there. Is there a way to automatically delete from the folder when I click complete in task view.

(I know you commented 3 years ago but it might be useful to others reading now) From what I understand, you're duplicating the tasks? I think the video tries to separate Email Tasks and Tasks you've assigned to yourself. For example : - you need to answer Mark's email where he asks you to send him the sales report by 3pm vs - you have to call that client who seemed interested the other day (not an email task) Did I understand correctly?

In business, if you're not organized...you're done. Might as well "spin the wheel" with someone who advises others for pay.
