Thank you so much! For some reason my folders were not automatically going into alphabetical order ( which I prefer ) and I could not figure out how to sort them again. NOW I know. !!

I have 4 e mail accounts and since changing to Outlook 2024 desktop app I now have a tree with Favourites & 4 different inboxes, sent, deleted folders etc. Is there a way to have all new mail go into one inbox & all sent to go in one sent folder etc?
@thesoftwarepro2 ай бұрын
I'm not familiar with any way to combine these accounts into one. I've heard of third-party applications that can do this within a different interface, but I haven't used any of these alternatives.
@mummycool12 ай бұрын
@@thesoftwarepro My primary e mail is now dealing with most of it, but I do have to glance at the others each day to check nothing has gone in there. I've turned updates off for now & will see how things go, hopefully they'll update & improve but just in case!

Hi Dawn, I work with many folders and subfolders, is it possible to change the font size and font color of the primary folders?
@thesoftwarepro2 жыл бұрын
This would be a great feature but it's not available. The closest option is to change the size and color of key emails using conditional formatting. You'll learn the steps in this #Outlook video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p4HHmGase7ONgbc

Hi Dawn. Thank you for making this helpful tips videos. I find that when any new emails come to a folder (I set a rule to do that), there are no notifications. Any idea how to enable notifications for new emails into a folder?
@thesoftwarepro Жыл бұрын
Although notifications aren't an option, you could add the folder to your Favorites folder which would make it more visible to you in Outlook. (Right-click on the folder and choose Add to Favorites). You would then see a bold number to the right of the folder name which indicates unread messages.

I believe that I am in a Mail app perhaps. I do not have the header that you show w all the options for home, send, receive etc. I have'nt been able to find that location.
@thesoftwarepro2 жыл бұрын
Yes, you will need to work with the Outlook desktop app to use the full feature set and to access the Ribbon. In the desktop app, right-click on the Ribbon and choose Use Classic Ribbon (vs Simplified Ribbon) for a more complete display of options.

how does this work with regards to other people example my team to access emails base on specific project? is it share-able?
@thesoftwarepro Жыл бұрын
To share project specific emails and other communications, it might make more sense to create a channel in Teams. You can learn more about how to share and collaborate between Teams and Outlook in my video at kzbin.info/www/bejne/Zp-nn62dn5qFf8Usi=TQXoYoDQIHiP0uy3

Does Outlook have the ability to see any sub-folders (in the favorites menu) inside a folder tagged as a "Favorite"?
@thesoftwarepro4 жыл бұрын
I haven't seen that option although you can add sub-folders as a separate favorite.

why does outlook send me a reminder of a meeting that already happened like 1 or 2 days ago?? how do i stop this so it only reminds me of the things i actually need??? thank youuuuuu
@thesoftwarepro4 жыл бұрын
Try this change (from Outlook help): If you don't want to see reminders for events in the past, you can tell Outlook to automatically dismiss reminders for past events. For example, if you're out of the office for three days, you might not want to come back and see reminders for the meetings that took place while you were gone. Select File > Options > Advanced. In the Reminders section, select Automatically dismiss reminders for past events.

How can i delete a Sent folder that seems for reasons beyond me that have doubled up so i have 2 send folders on my Samsung phone. Microsoft keep telling me to delete one of them but how. When i use a laptop theres only 1 sent folder yet on my samsung phone theres 2 sent folders. But i cannot delete one of them. Any idea how i can delete one of the sent folders from my samsung phone

Dang it! Sounds like this is frustrating. I'm not familiar with the options or duplication that might happen with a Samsung phone.

How to find a missing folder, that apparently move somewhere, cause I am for sure didn’t delete it.
@thesoftwareproАй бұрын
That is frustrating! I recommend looking in your Deleted Items folder just in case it was accidentally moved there. Also, try a search and make sure you are searching all folders, including subfolders.

Hi Dawn, why not simply use custom search folders? You can use them the same way as creating a folder but have the benefit of automated filtering with no further need to drag and drop emails from the inbox to the desired folder. Ideally creating folders is super helpful but if maintaining them starts to take up most of your time they’ll be rendered useless. I found the creation of search folders immensely helpful.
@thesoftwarepro4 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Michael. I agree that custom search folders are a huge timesaver. I've covered them in a different #Outlook video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y3-vl6eibMiiabM

I was curious what "Parking Lot" was used for - is this your action folder?
@thesoftwarepro4 жыл бұрын
Some time management systems suggest a Parking Lot for to do or action items. I prefer labeling mine as a To Do folder. Create a folder structure that matches how you prefer to process priorities and tasks.
