@@dannyperfect9270I didn’t think it was terrible, but it certainly lacked something and it didn’t make me laugh the way the show used to. I think the key ingredient was the rather honest and charming performances from the children from the original series, which is missing now they are all adults.

Saw the 2024 Christmas special I found it quite sad overall, it was totally unrequired and didn’t work on a comedy front unfortunately, I don’t think the BBC will do any more.

I liked Karen and Jake - in that order - but couldn’t stand the noisy, destructive Ben. Then Daniel Roche was cast as William Brown - Just William - a part he seemed born to play, so that I saw him in a completely different way. I even liked him as Ben! Seeing them all now, I think he has become my favourite!
