I just ordered more or less every part out of dart had available for the Perses and kronos. The customer service, shipping and Lukes personal touch to everything is absolutely amazing very few companies can you talk to the owner of and also get him to reply to you when you ask a question or have a problem. Luke personally answered my questions and helped me through a wiring issue with the perses. He even went as far as emailing me a picture of the wiring diagram and personally drawing where I need you to wire in my parts. I was just very impressed and want everyone know what kind of business hes running and how awesome out of dart is.

As a former manufacturing consultant it looks like you could scale production better if you used 3D printing for prototyping/low volume production and used traditional injection molding for high volume production.

We're already working on injection molding for higher volume items, like our Tachi magazine. Before then, it was really hard to justify the upfront tooling cost that injection-molded parts require.

4:20 Seeing the Perses hopper and Jupiter, I think it'd be very cool to see the hopper have some sort of adapter that allows it to be connected to the Jupiter, making it essentially a paintball style blaster. If it isn't that easy as making a magazine adapter then perhaps integrating the hopper into the Jupiter, making it hopper fed, would truly be amazing for those of us who want to use the firerate and compact nature of the Jupiter to an even greater potential!

You don't need larger premises for a while. You've got enough headroom to convert those racks to a dual tier installation by extending the uprights and suspending walkways between the racks. The uprights might need extra strengthening depending on the shelf loading but it's all very easily done. I used to be a salesman/designer for an industrial racking and shelving manufaturer and used to love designing that sort of installation. You can double your usable space if you've got a high enough roof like yours.
@outofdarts3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tip! We actually just moved into a new space last November. We're continuing to maximize space and efficiency, and that does include better use of our industrial shelving, as well as some other improvements.

Lose the plastic totes for opened filament spools, and go with resealable plastic 5 gallon buckets. Put 4" of white rice in the bottom of each bucket, store filament rolls inside each bucket with the lid sealed tightly, on top of the rice. All humidity problems solved.

Ziploc sells a bin that has a foam rubber seal and snap-down handles that make sure the seal seals- this is how I store my humidity-sensitive stuff (with silica gel packets). @tazanteflight86704 жыл бұрын
@12:11 the scientist that told you that is only part correct. An empty bin with a hole will have the same humidity, given some time. But a bin with filament will drop to almost zero humidity, and the flow of humidity into the bin is so slow, you are in fact saving your filament. The flow into the bin requires turbulence to get humidity into the box, mechanically, and osmosis to get it in there any other way. Very slow process.
