Yes, my first car was an MGB roaster in 1975 ... It was sad when the company stopped making the MG cars (mostly 2 seater small sports cars, early ones had wire wheels) and the brand was sold to the Chinese... However, I think the new EV's are cool especially the MG 4 XPower with 0 to 62 in 3.8 seconds. The MG Cyberster is spectacular and I think the Chinese can now claim the MG badge as their own.

But seriously the charging is an issue and you can see from the video that the general public are challenged by the shift to EV and the lack of charging availability. Opening up superchargers generally and some options for those living in urban areas without off street parking needs attention as people feel EVs are being forced upon them in the UK with the 2030/35 shift. Great, entertaining and thought provoking film.

You will quickly realise parking is a major issue in the UK, so much so you just don't drive to certain locations as you know you won't be able to park. Windsor for example is somewhere where you just don't bother to visit because of parking. By the way it's the King who usually stays at Windsor Castle not Prince William. Also I think you may have missed the very centre of Oxford, even for an English person such as myself who is used to the old historic buildings, the centre of Oxford, particularly when you walk around all the different colleges (many famous for all the Primeministers and senior members of government that studied at them) as they are truly spectacular. In fact it's funny to see how some US universities tried to copy the architecture, to give them a sense of history! Finally and despite Oxfords local government anti car policies, its one of the few places relatively easy to find (albeit expensive) parking.

Anyone notice the exorbitant fees for DC fast charging at that Oxford service station? 79p per kWhr!!!, that's over $US 1.00 . For comparison a Tesla model 3 takes about 25kWhr to travel 100 miles, so the cost would be over $US 25 per 100 miles. A Toyota Prius ICE will do that on 2 US gallons of dinosaur juice, or roughly $US 7 currently in midwest USA. Dave probably could've had a lower kWhr rate with a charger membership plan, but this is one of the causes why EV adoption is relatively slow here in US vs. Europe.

Whether someone of labouring or merchant classes was born in a property would be a guess based on those, as only the very top of society would have had detailed birth records.
