The electric bike range really must be improved. Clearly this guy has lots of time. I am in no hurry to switch from a gas bike to electric until it is able to do something realistic for riding range. Only if I wanted an "adventure" to try and go some where and I had a lot of time I would I consider this. It is enough fun in the EV deserts in an EV car.
