I have him and honestly, everytime I look at him, mess with him and pose him...I just find myself liking him more and more. Yes there is a lot of missed opportunity with the mold and the details, and yes I wish Hasbro would do better. However, the amount of poses you can do with this guy and how awesome he feels in hand...it just makes me happy. Plus all I did was change the blaster using the custom version from John Walker Customs and he feels much better tbh.

Utilizing that Hunter body doesn't make for a great Boss but it does make for a great action figure. I still think it would have been well worth it for them to just make a new sculpt though. I've never played the game, I didn't really care about picking up this figure, but after seeing some reviews and the look of him, I had to get him. I love the coloring of Boss, the helmet was a major selling point. I also figure that if I really, really want to upgrade him to an actual Commando, we got the one and only John Walker, the saviour of figures. Lol. Great review Nate. 👍

Like I said in one of the previous livestreams, it may not make for a great Boss but utilizing the Hunter body still makes it a great action figure. The helmet is pretty cool too! Thanks for checking out the review, Mitch. -Justin

LOL he already has an upgrade kit, one for beginnger and one for advanced customs. i am going to upgrade him. I love John Walker he is the amazon for toy customs really!

Accurate Commando mould would have been awesome. They could have even reused it alot. Normal White, Delta Squad, battlefront repaints

I understand why some find him undersized, but I really don’t have a problem with it. The commandos on the Bad Batch/TCW were not as big as Wrecker. If they had been, it would make Wrecker’s mutation far less unique. Also, Gregor was a commando and he was the same size as any regular clone out of armor. If they wanted to release commando Gregor at some point, I’d imagine they would want it consistent with these Republic Commando versions and you wouldn’t want him to be the size of Wrecker.

I totally see what you're saying and yeah they are regular clones. But still, they are regular clones in bulky armor. Maybe not Wrecker but some kind of new tooling would have made it more worth it in my opinion. Thanks for checking out the review, Tom! -Justin

I'm all in on picking up a 6 in black series Delta Squad. I just wish they would've given us a little more due to the undersized body. Like maybe the sniper rifle from the Republic Commando game. Or, a swappable left hand, to utilize the hidden knife blade also from the game.

i just got wrecker boss and sev for my birth day and i really happy with what i got i had to super glue wreckers backpack to his back cuz it fell out to easily and i had to re glue sev's hand glove armor thing... back on to his hand but now its fine but im still happy even tho boss and sev back pack fit nice and secure yet my crosshairs backpack and wreckers back pack fit so loose its weird and i remember u saying that they sev boss fixer crosshair are on hunters body but only sev and boss's backpack fit so well and i got 70 dollars so im closer to getting my self a hunter fig since idk why but they cost over 70 to 100 dollars online idk if its cuz he cool he main character in bad batch but im close

To me he kind of looks like the 6” version of The Clone Wars figure. I have Hunter, so I’m familiar with the mold. Hunter seems appropriate for the mold.

If they had made an overlay for the Hunter body which gave a little more bulk to it and raised the shoulder armor slightly it would have been a better compromise with reuse. It is a good figure just a bit undersized. I love the look of the helmet and the color is great. Pretty nice and will look good with Fixer and Sev.

Nice Review Nate, I love this figure even if it isnt the best version we could have got of Boss. He is a great Figure and the orange and white on him is superb. The selling point for me is the chrome blue visor and the possibility.

I love this figure way more than I thought I would. If you think about it aren't the members of Clone Force 99 kinda commandos anyway? this figure would've been a bit better if he were bigger but I still like him.

Hunter does indeed wear a modified version of Katarn armor but I still think Delta Squad and the other Commandos warranted a new sculpt. Still a super fun figure to mess around with and pose on the shelf though! Thanks for checking out the review, Eric. -Justin

I grabbed him, I spent a lot of time playing Republic Commando back in the day, so Delta Squad is a must for me, even if they're not very good looking. Especially poor Sev... Hasbro really did him dirty... I really like this Boss figure, I just don't like how he's an off white color, he should've been the typical bright white

Once again that's accurate to the show, but I want it accurate to the game, and since it's GG fig, that would've made way more sense. But Hasbro is too lazy I swear.

I know people have complained about how inaccurate the Republic Commando figures have been since they use the Hunter body, but I still nabbed him anyways. Compared to previous interations of Boss and the rest of Delta, they’ve been the best figures I’ve seen so far both visually and articulation-wise. I don’t ever expect them to make a super expensive S&H Figuarts version of Delta, so I know this is the best I’ll ever get.

For some reason I don’t remember playing the game Republic Commando, which is strange because I grew up playing any and every Star Wars game I could get my hands on….🤔. That said, the figure is a nice addition to the Gaming Greats line, and my shelf is rapidly filling up. And they all look killer, so I’m pleased. Thanks for the review!

6:05 I disagree with it needing "more sculpt work" if they used the Wrecker body. All they would've needed to do was as new overlay for the chest ... that's it. Considering that they would use it 3 additional times I don't think it would've been out of the question. Great review.

Still that would have been a helmet and overlay piece which clearly they weren’t interested in doing that much new sculpt. Hunters armor is technically a modified version of the RC armor so they just took the easy route. Thanks for watching! -Nate

During the fan roundtables, has anyone ever asked the Hasbro SW team WHY they glue the kneelads to the upper thighs? Asking them to change something is likely futile but I'd like to know the WHY. I personally have cut off all the Bad Batch kneepads and glued them in their proper place, it seems so simple, just dont put them there, its not where they go, they are kneelads, not thigh pads or thigh guards haha

@@OutOfTheBasement I agree 100% about making a new Commando sculpt. I would have been all in. Hasbro won't do it because gaming greats have to use molds that they already have. I still have to play the game Republic Commando. I may get these if I like the game and the characters. It's a good thing John Walker Customs is making a kit to make it more accurate. If after the initial release is done and these go on sale and have not sold out. I may be tempted. BTW, is it just me or is the volume on the audio pretty low? I had my volume all the way up and it was still hard to hear Nate's smooth like butter voice. Then the ad came on and that was loud. I agree with Nate Wrecker would have been a better choice. I love that figure. 🧈
