I’ll be my typical CONTRARIAN self and say I actually like these sets. I absolutely understand why most people wouldn’t, but as someone who doesn’t army build in the traditional sense, I want as many CIS droid repaints as they’ll give me. The clone is just an added bonus. As for Dagan, I’m actually glad we’re getting both versions. Gotta get some Cubic sabers so one can go on my light side shelf, and one on the dark side shelf.

The Clone Commandos look ATTROCIOUS - they should be on the Wrecker body. the paint schemes are pretty neat though. I don't pay much mind to the droids but if Degan with force arm was a single release, I'd jump on it like Captain America on the training grenade.

The commando tooling should've just been kept for Hunter. Making regular Clone Commandos out of the Hunter mold is painfully obvious, which is made worse thanks to the 2023 Clone Trooper mold having more bulk. Had Hasbro made an new Clone Commando tooling that's bulky, it would be better than making them Hunter retools.

I wish they made the new Dagan Gera have a removal arm for the ghost arm and you can have both looks. Thats what I was curious about if it was removable or not but you guys cleared that up for me. That was a close one Hasbro of revealing 2 different versions of a figure! I don’t know why, but I like the 1 arm version better and hoping I can be patient and maybe pick it up for a discount down the road. Disappointing though it may be, I’m not going to turn down another commando for my collection. At least they haven’t messed up Gregor or the jungle camo (yet). But as for the droids, I use the training skins in game, so I’m happy to get one, and the BX will complete my collection of raider battle droids. Unless they have a Droideka too.

I totally agree. Those clone commandos are ugly. Actually even knock-offs like 212th Airborne from Ali looks way better. I also agree on the Shin Hati and Baylan Skoll. Barely had the first ones been released and then they release copies with robes. That was totally a scummy move. This was a bit better with the force arm and people getting a chance to cancel their advanced orders, but I wonder if that truly was intentional or an oversight? Other than that, yes, the recent reveals and soon to be releases of Black Series in general are great. We do still need need official 212th Airborne and preferably Black Series 212th Airborne helmet to match (I haven't been able to find even 3rd party of that helmet). Same with Phase 1 Rex and Phase 1 Commander Cody. I got 3rd party Phase 1 helmets of both Cody and Rex already, but I would not mind official Black Series ones as well. Actually I do have an older official Phase 1 Rex helmet, but it's more of a toy and not so accurate. The visor is way too wide and such. In fact I would even want an official regular white Phase 1 helmet as well. I mean we now have white Phase II, Stormtrooper, Scout trooper, First Order Stormtrooper helmets, so all we lack is regular white Phase 1 to complete the heritage and evolution of those helmets on our shelves. I would not mind official Shore Trooper and Hover Tank Driver helmets, even if I have 3rd party of those as well already. Still, highest on my list would be 212th Airborne 6 inch figure plus a 1/1 scale 212th Airborne helmet.

I'm so conflicted about that new Dagan. Like I straight up ASKED for the ghost arm and I was disappointed when it wasn't included on the original. But now that I see it, I kinda prefer the one arm version 😅 I just think it cuts a more unique silhouette and feels more true to the character as we see him, like you said, for MOST of the game. Is Dagan's blue arm supposed to be for gameplay purposes for the player? Or is it supposed to be visible in-universe? I feel like that'd be a pretty good question in determining which version of the character I would want if I played the game. Thanks for watching, GM Tony! -Justin

It kinda varies and changes as the game goes on. At first he just has one arm and fights left handed, then in the next fight he still has no arm there but he's doing a Darth Traya and controlling his blade in the air. Then for the final fight his ghost arm is fully visible. It's difficult to tell though, because (without spoiling anything) that fight is just trippy. He seems to be able to get in your head and warp your perspective, so it's unclear if the ghost arm is actually visible or if it's a symptom of your mind being manipulated by The Force. There's a panel in the Vader comic where Vader is meditating deep in The Force, and his missing organic limbs are depicted in a kind of ghost-like fashion compared to how the rest of his body is shown. So maybe thats whats going on, Dagan is using The Force to warp Cal's mind, so he can see the essence of where his arm used to be.

If dagans arm is meant to be like a force ghost projection thing that is monumentally stupid should have been a cool Droid arm made of God damn cortosis or beskar so he could freaking block lightsabers with his hand. Say...that gives me an idea...pretending my new B2 is constructed out of one of those so the *only* way to destroy it (apart from the physical force of an explosion) is if a Force user is strong enough and quick enough to pull off his face/chest plate to destroy his vulnerable eye/internal circuitry before he can mow them down with his blasters/arm rockets. Yessss

You might be overreacting about Dagan a little bit… I don’t think it’s dispicable to make a variant of a character. That’s like saying it’s despicable that the duels end darth Vader doesn’t come with an alternate non-damaged helmet. Like neither figure has come out yet, just buy whichever one you want, at least they revealed both before you actually paid for them so you can choose

The most consumer-friendly thing to do would be to make the figure right the first time. Now, people who want both looks of the character (options) have to spend $70 instead of $25. Between canon and legends Republic Commandos are some of my favorite things in the franchise, and man this is disappointing on multiple levels. We get the dumb Hunter mold again and of course they chose the lame skin.
