Outpaint using Controlnet in stable diffusion and A1111 | Method (3)

this is a simple method for outpainting using control net.
we use inpaint preprocessor and expant vertically then horizontally, and repeat, fix what we dont want in the end using inpaint.

possibly you increased the image size too much, it is best to do step by step, one direction at a time, keep trying, you will figure out how it works best, try and error, it may take several trials to get something acceptable ... also some checkpoints are better for this task thank others

@@AI-HowTo the issue was I was in img2img mode. Worked great after I switched to the standard mode and used the ControlNet models you linked to before. :)

You are welcome, not sure, I have not encoutered this problem before, if you have not updated A1111 for a while, that might be the reason.

I just checked it it still works in the text2img tab using control_v11p_sd15_inpaint [ebff9138] model and inpaint_only+lama or inpaint_only as preprocessor, i have not got this error before.

i only get black bars when i change height or width :/

if control net is enabled and working properly, this should not happen, unless there is a black line at the side of your image you cannt see by yourself (padding), so test another image and see the output, if you are still getting black bars, then there is some issue in your control net inpaint checkopint installation if remaining settings were followed correctly

why I got this error: RuntimeError: Input type (float) and bias type (c10::Half) should be the same I'm Mac M1

I have seen other Mac users getting the same error, some reported its resolution by upgrading to pytoch 2.0.1 which can be done using git pull you can check this video to upgrade all of your A1111 to the newer version kzbin.info/www/bejne/bWKrhaeIiL2md8U (you can also delete venv folder first before you start the upgrade just to make sure that the installation is clean) and hopefully it resolves this issue.
