My surgery will be to remove a osteochondroma from my right hip/ groin

I am going to be having a surgery at boys town hospital in Omaha nebraska

When I had my left shoulder surgery this year they did a nerve block to numb my whole arm and my arm was in a sling and when I was in the recovery room I was sitting in a recliner and fell asleep

They tell you not to eat or drink anything after midnight or the day of surgery they anesthesiologist gives you anesthesia to put you to sleep for surgery

2 questions. First what dose outpatient mean? And how scared most kids are? Otherwise good story.

outpatient surgery is where they operate, wait until you wake up and are safe to go home, They are sent home the same day of surgery.

Claudia S Outpatient means you have your surgery and you get to go home the same day sometimes they put a wrist band on you and sometimes it says outpatient but very rarely you stay overnight unless the surgery didnt go as well as planned. Certain kids are very scared there is nothing mom and dad can do to calm them down unless the anesthologist can give her a sleepy medication and then you have the kids that dont care and are very calm throughout the surgery. Im 22 and im usually pretty calm except the IV stick

This video is cool and im getting surgery on my wisdom teeth and i have special needs and i have bad anixiety hospitals freak me out . Im taking my dog webkinz coco with me on surgery day and she will be wearing her blue dog shirt that says angel on it with a golden halo on it . Can my webkinz stay with me when i go to sleep i want her with me at all times she helps me with my anixiety
