They actually got more sugar roses made which were only for eating and were not a part of the decoration. My family love all things that are sugary so there was a lot of bargaining around the tables 😂 - the roses were of course removed before cutting the cake so no wire accidents

@Philosophy I love the very natural naked cakes. They're so pretty. There is also a lot of butter cream art techniques such as russian piping or buttercream painting. It's very easy to avoid this kind of cake but I guess that wouldn't have suited a ball room theme. Even still they could have done a marble glaze to make it smooth and sleek looking. (also the cake was kinda ugly in my opinion...)

Im going to give them the benifit of the doubt and say that she probably did like the cake, but this wasnt the genuine first reaction take. Ive been to an event with a cake boss cake that was being filmed, and they had to retake a lot of parts because of weird angles or sound being off, so i swear they brought the fucking cake out 5 times and we still had to act just as surprised and floored as when we saw the cake for the very first time. Then even after that there were a lot of different takes of reactions and interviews with the clients. So tl;dr this might have been the 3rd or 4th take of this footage and she was trying to look as genuine as the first take, only it didnt work out lol

Cassie Lynn I think the important things to remember was that it was a last-minute order. Any other place would charge extra if someone requested a special cake for a wedding (or any special occasion,) within a limited time frame. At least, I know we did at the bakeries I’ve decorated at. Plus, they had other projects they were already working on. Krispies are a faster method of creating what you need to create rather than having to make a cake, especially if you’re on a time crunch. They were at the bakery till practically midnight after all, trying to get everything ready.

Sheena Shroder ..........i often do last minute wedding cakes......usually for folks dying of cancer who are marrying quickly...........they would have been charged extra but still could have had a proper cake instead of what they got..........i can coat a cooled freshly baked cake with buttercream and sugarpaste within 15 minutes flat.......i can do 5 tiers all sugarpasted and decorative piping with royal icing in approx 2 hours....i dont charge extra for last minute but need 24 hour notice.....order 1 day and collect the next
