Hey, I'm the middle child of my family and the most attention I got was getting into trouble as a kid (nothing serious, just little things like I didn't do or finish my chores or whatever.) Some of the time were good things, wether it was my birthday or an accomplishment I achieved. There are often times that I don't care if I get attention or not, good or bad. But you don't hear or see me flying off the handle and complaining about people not hearing me out.
