This brings back memories. One of Duke's long time masterpiece from 1988. Lyrics go like this "Tonight were gonna be outrageous, Tonight were going on to get on bad" I'm gonna miss you Duke. I enjoyed your work over the years.

The Mighty Duke (1932-2009) had some classic Calypso/Soca tunes. "Outrageous" from the Poison LP (1988) JW Records was one of them. Another from this LP would be "South Africa Must Be Free" & "Please Explain". Remember Duke won the Calypso Crown from (1968-1971) when he kept on challenging the Mighty Sparrow.

This tune is just badass from a genius we took for granted who gave us waist-wrenching legends like Mr. Jarvis and comedic dialogues like Freaking Streaking. You have to be patient to get the best part of this rendition though. It is the part that includes and follows, "Get orrn bard...get orn bard...get on.." The short piece of instrumental is reminiscent of the iron section of a steel band. Tantalizing!
