They're the best out there, been downloading all their stuff for a couple of years now! This is an older horn section. Sergey, this great guitarist, has left to see more of his family. I was there from the beginning with Chicago but don't play them any more when we've got these guys. Serge, the vocalist records his parts from his studio in Kyiv. Love to him and his family there now.

I have followed them from the beginning when Leonid used to post and share his video's from Russia. I'm a Chicago fan since 1969 and stayed true to them till 2016 when Jason Scheff (who was Peter Cetera 's replacer since 1985) left the band..Thank God I became FB Friends with Leonid Vorobye and saw this awesome band from Russia and I was so happy for them when other Chicago friends in the USA managed to bring Leonid Vorobye &Friends to the USA in 2017 or 2018 (before Covid) and they toured the USA and have lots of fans there right now .real Chicago fans but now loving Leonid & Friends better than the real band....so do I now...

@@stevebagnall1553 Your statement is correct about Serge, the lead singer and rhythm guitar player here who is Ukrainian, and is in Kyiv. However, he no longer performs with the band, and is not providing new vocal contributions. Sergei, the lead guitar player in this performance, is Russian. He left the band to pursue other musical projects. Their current guitar player, Konstantin, is also a superb musician, and at this moment is on his second tour with them in the United States.

They are amazing indeed, especially considering English is not their first language, and the lead singer had no accent. They had a very tight, well rehearsed sound. It is good to see classic rock staying alive in other countries.

Props to Robert Lamm for writing this classic and to Terry Kath for composing the original guitar solo. I'm a 50 year fan of Chicago but if I want to watch a live performance of Chicago music it's now Leonid and Friends all the way. IIRC, I heard a video or recording that had Chicago's original version in one channel and this version in the other channel, and they matched just about perfectly.

I always had a soft spot in my heart for Terry Kath's performance in the original Chicago song. Kath earned accolades from his peer musicians for his skill. These guys are an amazing duplicate, coming very close to the original.

Am I the only one convinced that Sergey was channeling Terry Kath's spirit on that guitar solo? I have heard many others attempt it, but none have come anywhere close to Sergey's note-for-note perfection and the feel of the original. The whole band is so slammin' it's ridiculous. Leonid, the bass player, transcribes all the parts- one of the greatest sets of ears on the planet! And Igor, just WOW. He's such a beast on the drums! And such a gentle, kind man. I have played gigs with Chicago's drummer Tris Imboden, and he was one of my favorite drummers to play with, but if I ever got a chance to play with Igor, I'm pretty sure that it'd be a supernatural experience for me! He's like an atomic clock with groove!!!

Serge (the lead singer) was stuck in Kiev, Ukraine about the same time this video was posted. His dad had surgery and his mom was there to so he couldn't leave. I have not heard anything since then. This info was from a video interview he did.

I have always been a fan of Chicago. As I was a teen in the 80s I was more familiar with their style of the Peter Cetera era. It was only later I developed an appreciation for their older material. I love both. My wife, and I have seen Chicago twice, both times long after Cetera had left. The last time we saw them we saw Cetera in concert the following year. When I discovered Leonid and Friends I was blown away. I knew I had to see them. I had plans to then Covid hit. My wife and I finally saw them last year. I knew we were going to be blown away. She loves Chicago more than me, but she had doubts. To put it bluntly they are just as good as the original. They are incredible. There is no other way to put it. Serge, who does the Cetera vocals is better than the current member of Chicago who does that part. Their harmonies are amazing. If you are a fan of Chicago you must see Leonid and Friends.

I also liked this Russian band with its Ukrainian singer a lot and it has become one of my favorites in the world of covers; It was because of them that I became more interested in Chicago music. In the USA you have an excellent cover band called Lexington Lab Band, I've been following you for 5 years and your covers are really one of the best I've heard.
