yup, just received this exact response from my MAGA cousin. He said he wouldnt invite him to dinner but focused on the price of dinner. Now, I still havent heard back about how prices will go down with 20% tariffs across the board, like what happened during his first admin when he began a trade war. Also, our taxes went up for anyone making less than $125,000/year to make up for the 1% ultra-rich tax cuts. Still, the deficit went up another 8+ trillion under Trump, compared to Biden's 3.5 trillion. There's so much about Trump that is awful on the economy past and future. People sure love wearing those orange tinted glasses, but can't see how inflation is currently back to pre-COVID percentages. Unemployment is lower than any Trump year. Wages are up, even though prices are up. Kamala will raise taxes on the rich. Anyone making less than $400,000/year won't have tax increases - without the tariffs (which is a national sales tax on imports). No tax on tips, responsibly. So, white collar jobs can't avoid tips as a salary, unlike Trump's proposal. Trump tried removing tips from employees during his first admin btw.

Being half Mexican I don’t understand how/why my Caucasian mother is 110% behind Trump. Her husband, my father came to this country because it promises a better life.
