Awesome video! Just a side note - before you upgrade the item rarity from rare to epic, you may want to increase the item level to 50 first. Once it is max level, go ahead and upgrade it to epic. You will save a lot of titanium and drop pod resources by doing it this way.

Only issue I had a couple times is that when resetting the game to swap tier 2 mods it glitches and just upgraded the weapon and gave me one mod. Not something that happens a ton. I still made it work later for other gear and those are fine. Great tip which I was coming to add also.

@@crazyace63 what I do to "minimize/prevent" that situation is: fast travel somewhere (usually Forest Enclave), go to Zahidy and increase one of the Stats and then leave Zahidy (this makes the game create a save point), and go straight to Zahidy and do "the thing". When I do this, I don't think the game has ever bugged on that situation...

Also, don’t forget that if you’re too low on shards or drop pod resources to level up an item on one character, dump the item in your stash and use secondary character resources to level it.

About the first point of targeted legendaries (which you're correct about), I wish I still had the data for this but a few weeks to maybe a month after the game released there was a lot of discussion about legendaries being targetable and I decided to collect some data on this. The goal was to run the same expedition on one class until I received 1000 legendaries then switch to another class and run a different expedition, all on the highest tier with gold medals. To save time and sanity this was done using modifications to the legendary drop rates so I would receive about 10 legendaries per run. I documented around 1900 legendaries along with their stat distribution. I also documented legendary drops during the campaign while leveling the characters. Some interesting things I found that I'm no longer able to prove because the data is gone so do with this as you wish. * The only legendary set that would drop at low levels up until somewhere in the late 20s was cannonball. All characters managed to obtain over a 100 cannonball pieces before finishing the campaign with the first piece of any other set item appearing in the late 20s. The appearances of new set items also happened in order but I don't remember said order. This is however largely irrelevant because at 30 all the sets became available to drop so even with modified rates I'd only get a few of the new set pieces in the loot pool. The standalone helmet legendaries would also drop however across the 3 characters I never managed to get one of the legendary helmets before 30, I unfortunately don't remember which one. I don't remember if I had any data for running through a fresh campaign but starting as a level 30 to see the drops. I'm pretty sure I had a table ready to do that in my sheet but I think I wanted to conclude the expedition data first because all that it would prove is that cannonball is the only set available up until somewhere in the 20s, then another set becomes available, and then another final set becomes available prior to reaching 30, then all sets unlock at 30. Not exactly useful because It's an unrealistic scenario for general gameplay and the 3 sets weren't exactly meta. * Across the 1500 or so legendaries from expeditions that I documented, I didn't find any pattern to suggest that certain expeditions favour specific legendaries. It did appear like legendaries have a weighting as some legendaries appeared a lot more than others. It took around 400 legendary weapon drops to collect them all and the most common ones were the pistols which isn't exactly surprising since that type of weapon isn't as diluted in its class as the other weapons are. However, this is a very small sample size so I'm happy to chalk this down to bad luck as the true probability will never become evident in a sample size this small. * Distributions for armor and damage rolls were surprisingly very even and genuenly seemed purely random and not weighted. However, I was rather dissapointed with how huge the weapon damage range was, it was like over 35k or something stupid and every range between the lowest and highest is possible in intervals of 100 damage. I had a calculator built into the sheet that would take the calculated probabilities and would tell you the chance of getting a specific legendary at a certain standard, e.g. deathshield with over 95k attack and man the odds were painful. Armor was a much better story because the range for defence rolls was very small. To anyone curious why I never finished collecting this data, even with modified rates, it took over 100 hours to achieve only 50% of what I originally intended. Along with the time investment, the popularity in the game started to die rapidly and as updates were pushed out my performance started absolutely tanking with every patch so I simply lost motivation. The data itself was lost during a factory reset of my PC about a month ago because I never intended to do anything with it anymore or even finish it. Then after the trailer for the new expansion came out I watched some stuff on the game again and this video got recommended so taking the opportunity to share my findings that are now in the void.

My friends convinced me to play Outriders with them. They needed a third and couldn't get past T12 drop points. Well, two weeks later I went from solely being useful at freezing enemies, to being IL 50 doing 200m damage in T15s. We just beat Eye of The Storm. Was still pretty challenging, but with more tweaking it'll be more farmable. Definitely don't be afraid to use a Purple item if its better than your legendary. You just need 3 for your set (I'm 3 Borealis, Ronin Helm, and *just* replaced my purple boots). Upgrade your shards when able. You get them back and when you level the item up, it's easier/cheaper. Experiment till you find the right build. Many Technos LOVE the top tree and have massive success with Blighted build. It's just not for me. My weapon damage mods combined with the 2 tree perks providing 40% weapon and 70% anamoly power do about as much as another player, and 3 turrets are no joke on the side for extra damage. I love this game. I hope Worldslayers wakes up the ones who forgot about this game and left the battle behind.

I've been trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong and now I understand how gear works. Its not really a glitch per say its just that the game doesn’t save your upgrades in real time in the crafting menu so when you close the game you never gave the game the chance to save your save to the cloud or your device. There are alot of games that function this way and its more of a server related thing. Most people would call it “Save scumming” another game for example that still has it in their ecosystem of games is the monster hunter franchise. Players do something very similar with making their gems get the exact stats they want/need because the monster hunter series has a worse/hellish Rng hell to put up with.

Based on what I am experiencing, the hard reset method work for the 2nd item you upgrade. That means the first item you upgrade will a mod chosen for you even if you hard reset. I am on pc by the way

If I remember correctly, use the Trench Town location and purchase an item from any of the vendors prior to attempting to mod. That will trigger the "save" icon at the bottom righthand of the screen and allow you to begin there again should your mod not be successful.

If you want warface-like controls then set "Turning Ramp-up Time" and "Aiming Ramp-up Time" to 0s. The best control settings if you want precise aiming.

@@LtBuzzLitebeer indeed. Though it takes too long to care to spend hours in loop to get anomaly status and the last one attribute you want. So I've just continued to grind alts. Stash needs to have custom categories for quick change builds. Won't happen but a man can hope for it.

I do this. But what you also do in addition and this is tedious but worth it. First make a new character and skip prolog don't do anything else. Second have someone do a story skip for you. Third only complete the vendor mission which should put you at level 9 but every vendor you goto will have level 10 items and alot of green items that will have only one attribute. This is the best way for me to get every attribute and Mod I want. I look for green guns at like 350 and better and blue guns between 372 and better. Plus other benefit is that you can funnel resources to the new character to buy legends cheap from tiago.

If you campaign skip then you are able to do expeditions. If you have someone carry you on a few CT15s you can get 100-200k drop pods, then you can reset Tiago, and buy the God rolls. Doing the CTs will level you up, but as long as you stay under level 30, refreshing the store will cost 100 drop pods.

Want a good, low effort build? Pick any of the ammo replacement skills, get yourself a machine gun, and slap Perpetuum Mobile on it. As long as a couple weak enemies are at hand to kill in the bottom third of your mag, you can keep your buff going basically forever.

I've had the worst luck in the world since release in outriders. I've had "zero" legendary world drops since the open beta closed. My friend who I play with regularly has had legendary drops in the wild. I have had none since day one. If it wasn't from a drop pod or a failed expedition then I got it from the repeatable mission rewards or tiago. I still haven't also gotten all my skill mods for my most played trickster character. I'm about 8 shy? Also, I haven't even picked up all or even half the legendaries. I have less than a quarter of the legendary skins and when the update came, it didn't count my legendary guns I was sitting on in the bank so I should of had at least a third. Now, don't take this for me hating on the game. I wouldn't have sunk over 200 hours if I wasn't enjoying it. This is just an extreme end of the spectrum of those who can get nothing they've been hunting for or need to build upon.

Another great video! I thought you had to be on higher WT difficulty to get better gear. Going to go back and give this a try. Honestly, it's your content that keeps me coming back to this game. As a casual solo player, my big "wish" for this game would be that once you beat the story line, all maps/areas open up for farming (example: Diablo 3). It would give us something else to do besides grind Expeditions and Monster/Boss Hunts. Again, great video as always!

Video was published one year ago and one year ago at this time there was all steadily new contacts out just came out in June so it’s been out for roughly a mom. I think it was on June 28 world slayer was I believe so this video was published a year ago in August. It’s now August 2, bad world slayer has been out for just a month so I would say pretty clearly there was new contact world slayer, completely re-structured expedition, send it and added some Devvon supposed in the game activity. Either way the game called gigantic influx of wires, Browning, world flare, at least until September October when it died off again.

Yeah, I don’t recall farming bad space you’re in right now but I also remember that corner where you have to drop the bridge and then there’s an elite at the at our our boss and a couple of the leads at the end I remember following that over and over again because you could get to it really quick, go through the entire level and then clear it out really fast, then just travel back to beginning and do it again over and over again And I think I I completely leveled out my character and got him through all his world tears right in that spot my first one by Tekno like first character of the techno. I don’t remember how I did it on the other spiral farm and the shit out of a couple of locations.

U can alt tab and exit the game if the second mod isnt what youre looking for. The game wont save it as long as you dont select a second mod for the wep. Saves so much time when min maxing mod combos

On a *purely* anecdotal basis, I do think there was a time when there was targeted loot - or that the pseudo-RNG was bound to player characteristics which could trigger repetition of drops. My main, a technomancer, has 2 Damascus Offerings, 2 Icebergs and 2 Torment & Agony, and I am quite certain I got each weapon by beating the same bosses with different friends, each of whom were fighting that boss for the first time. I think this *could* be the source of at least some reports of targeted loot. Others are of course just click-bait.

some weapons only drop on certain classes or rather at a much higher chance than on others, other than that, spamming emote X 5 times before opening the pod or any weird rituals you come across get certain gear aren't really a thing

Hi, I am a beginner player and I cant figure out how to mod the second slot of any item. It says select mod and mod slot but when I select a mod it will automatically chose slot 1 and I cant see how to select slot 2.

Bees isn’t the Golden Gate a low rarity because big deer to upgrade that all up and then just spray the rarity I forget, but it seems to me like there was something about getting the low rarity items because they were cheaper to upgrade then it was if you got a purple item that you know you needed to upgrade so I hold her whatever I am I don’t know really what I’m saying because it’s been along time since I looked at any of that and how he just started playing again I are still at the business better than that stage in and equipping anything better than one or Marta you think so, but I thought that it the whole process of grinding for Gerald kinda revolved around grabbing a Lowrider the item spending last upgrade it and then ultimately you would have a big expense bringing the rarity up

You probably have one monster hunt location still active. Look over your map and see if the monster hunt paw print is visible next to any of the map locations. If it is, that means you need to kill off those remaining monsters before turning in the entire hunt. Only then can you restart the hunt and farm again.

So I just started playing the game and this whole not hunting for legendary drops doesn't make sense to me. Why not just hunt legendary/epic? I've played a lot of looter shooters and none have I ever hunted for lower rarity drops before. Someone please explain 😅

Brener tactical mean Parker heading west ammo you and usually one first one kill you know you’re not spraying am all over the place and it’s very satisfying when you squeeze the trigger I’ll burst it started and it fucking blows up specially when it blows up and shit around. It also blows up.

Theres also I chest run on one of the early maps, I've done it in 4 mins, 11 chests in 4 mins is pretty good for farming

Its way more simple to have 3 characters at lvl 4 and buy green weapons from shop. Any green weapon above 165 base dmg at lvl 4 will be over 90k at lvl 50. The max u can get is a 175 base dmg at lvl 4 and it will turn into the absolute max one. The store refresh every 30min so lots of chances with more characters. I got the 175 base dmg one after 5 resets on shop with 4 characters at lvl 4

With all do respect, I support your content and will continue to do so but I do not know where all these people in the comments get off agreeing with you that this works. I have played all 4 classes I have reached T15 with all of them at AVG50 I did every side mission and reset the hunts multiple times with every character furthermore I have done the hunt grind/farm in the dunes a disgusting number of times with each character and I have never once seen any weapon drop with numbers the app suggests will 90k+ at max level. Just one auto shotgun it says will supposedly reach 93k that is an insane amount of time invested to the game not to have come across one of these of any rarity anywhere.

Honestly, it sounds like your RNG is just overly bad. I get them every few hours, but most of the time they are Epic tier with unusable attributes or mods.

very nice and informative video i been off of outriders for awhile but might get back into it i got on for a short moment after the latest patch and realized i need to rework the builds i have. I really want to give this game a chance but I can't get over the being knocked out of cover by sniper rifles and when an enemy's head is showing you still can't snipe it, I enjoyed the game when I last played but these little things frustrate me.

Not too sure how long ago that was but i started playing around 4 days ago and I'm able to snipe heads that are behind cover. But i agree how annoying sniper shots are lol.

Where are you get is going to be the white level 30 and it’s not going to measure up an expedition unless you’re planning to spend the resources you know to keep upgrading it I suppose maybe if you upgraded it as a common aura call blue item and then changed it to rarity I I don’t know I never did any of that shit I just use what I got made a change here in there put a mod on it maybe brought the rarity up on my wall

Its rng so some will get a god roll in 2 mins while some won't get one for days.
