Exactly! Well said. An exploit (for any game) is any player doing something “in game”. Cheating/hacking is creating a whole diff game by doing things “outside a game” like editing files, messing with memory or using 3rd party software etc. Wats worse is profiting off of cheating n selling it as a “guide” which is unrealistic.

i don't agree with exploits in any game, ruin the experience imo. However, the grind is currently out of whack right now and needs toned down by quite a bit. If the grind was fairer in terms of xp gains, anomaly extract and finding good gear, there wouldn't be a desire to use exploits in the first place. In my last 3 full trials runs (where I do every node possible, which takes a fair amount of time) plus aprox 10-12 expiditions, I havent found ONE useable piece of apoc gear, not one. I've also went up just one apoc level. This isn't good and will drive players away as the content becomes too repetitive for the amount of grind required.

People like water will always follow and flow where there is the least resistance. When you make the grind slow and over the top people will follow an easier path. (Cheating). I do not agree with cheating however I play this game that I really love and enjoy the correct way and my loot drops are not even remotely useful. I played for 3 hours yesterday and received next to nothing that I considered useful to my specific character class.

@@hardcoresb3 completely agree, the game does not have the depth of content required to stop the grind from becoming laborious and stale so people, understandably, look for short cuts. The loot is too random. Players are looking for apoc gear with the right 3 stats and at least 1 if not 2 mods that fit their build. The odds of getting especially purple gear that fits the bill is incredibly low. Coupled with the insane amounts of xp and anomaly extract required players time is not remotely being respected. Streamers might play for 8+ hours a day. For normal folks with jobs and families a couple of hrs a day is probably about the norm yet the grind seems to require streamer levels of play hours to get anywhere. Playing for days and not seeing one good drop and barely levelling up is very disheartening, regardless of how fun the game is. Especially when there are so many other games to play.

That first reddit post with the purple boots is not irrelevant. It has master consumer in it's first slot organically. 1. You can't get a t3 mod on the first slot of purple gear, 2. Master consumer is from the legendary boots of the acari set for the pyromancer, 3. He claimed it was an "exploit" but this piece of gear will never naturally exist in the game and this video was a guide/ tutorial. He's wasting everyone's time and the only thing irrelevant is him.

Laser posted a video yesterday about the difference between exploiting and cheating. He listed like 6 common exploits that people do, 5 of which were common and the 6th was getting 2 T3 mods on epics. Several people thought it was funny that he added that 6th one because absolutely no one knew how it was done, even though it was supposed to be a "common exploit". He got blasted in the comment section soo bad that the video was gone less than 50 mins after I watched it.

Weird thing though. I have legit got epic apoc stuff with t3 mods in the apoc slot. So far I’ve only got 2 like that. People claim it’s not possible but somehow I have got ‘em twice and I play on Xbox.

@@therandomblackguy1983 T3 mods in the apoc slot isn't the issue because you can get those. The other 2 mods that aren't apoc slots can't role t3 mods on purples, so having a purple with 2 t3 mods, not including the apoc slot, isn't possible.

Exploits aren’t the main problem. Anyone can do that b/ it’s “in game” n it’s up to the dev to patch it. The real issue is someone going “outside the game” with a KZbin channel and ambassador status cheating/hacking while promoting illegitimate builds (that u will never get) and profiting off of it with ads n merch under the guise of “guide”. You can’t get 3 Tier3 Mods on a Purple set of gear with an “exploit”. It’s that simple.

I'm glad you called him out by name. Although I wish you would have made it more prominent. I noticed not only the Torment and Agony in one of his videos, but he had another video (a day or so earlier) where his epic boots or gloves had a intrinsic T3 mod (not in the apoc slot, which can happen) I just YT would remove him for promoting/showcasing cheating like Twitch would. There's no way he should be able to profit from bs like this. Let's just hope more word gets spread about him so people in the community don't accidentally click on his videos believing this bs.

I knew some people were far to high tiers on all characters. This game is the biggest grind I've ever came across do you remember CT days you would complete Ct1 then onto CT2 then Ct3 is was you just had to beat that expedition now you can run trials 5 or 6 timed doing every room and level up once depending on how high you are. I love the game but I'm burnt out on it. Apoc level 30 for my main and 20 for other 3 anomaly extract you dont get enough to keep.levlling up gear drop pod resources isn't s problem at all I don't think nor any other materials. But anomaly is really scarce to get I think costs too much to level up apoc gear which everything is apoc gear after AT15. Breaking down times.people play and farm it seems impossible to get to AT 40 on all 4 so fast even grinding 16-20 hours a day isn't the way forward. There so many casual gamers out there that don't have time and there punished for not have 8 to 10 hours a day to try grind one level if that depends on level again.

I got an apoc version of final penance with mage's rage, anomaly enhancement, and embalmer's rage. Can swap anomaly enhancement for firestorm or deathronome. Its a really good rolled weapon

It is an exploit though, you get to repeat the final encounter and receive rewards which are for fully running the trails though. It's exploiting the save system which was to prevent folks who can get disconnected from the host for whatever reason and allow them to continue on if this happens. At least know reasons for why this mechanic exists in the first place. It's still an exploit since this was not the intended way to gain rewards. It's an exploit plain and simple as you are exploiting something outside of is intended operation. 👍

I hate cheating and cheaters but i do the final arbiter retry but honestly with out it, the rewards and the xp would mean i would have given up trying to get to max rank. Im 28 now and thats been a slog. Imagine doing it on half the xp from no retry’s! I would have stopped by now. Plus choosing a legendary i can pretty much say hasnt helped one bit but its nice to choose. Cheers for the content. Im new to watching your stufd n like your info. I’m actually purposely playing without max Xp, in part so that I don’t get bored because I genuinely enjoy just making builds from random drops, but: I want them to at least have one data point to see just how much you have to play if you don’t know about farming the arbiter which I assume most players probably don’t. About a full campaign play through can get you one apocalypse tier in the mid 20s, and I think that’s just insanely miscalculated.

Don't really care about people exploiting this game, or even third party cheating tools given that the game has no PvP content; third party cheating only if playing solo or with friends that are aware and accept that. Obviously, advertising gear you obtained with an exploit and claiming it's legit, or advertising gear that only exists because of cheating tools, is really damn scummy behavior. I don't care if someone wants to exploit or cheat their own game, clearly some exploits people are using are already considered accepted by the community (final arbiter retries). Just don't then turn around and lie about it.

You can still grind because how will you get your level 75 gear by yourself with your weak ass lvl 60 gear. Lol. You'll have to reduce the Apoc level quite a bit if you aren't the techno class, which can really fight with enemies 4+ levels over themselves.

The guy is out of his mind. I commented on one of his video's last week, that the drop rate is garbage. I explained him; I played more then 1000 hours, and have like around 1750 expedition runs. Last week only I did a dozen full trail runs, with the endboss 4 times per round (you know, jump out, and then in), btw. I play Solo. What happened was this ... I need the Lava Lich set pieces. Updated ones. Of all the tries in the last few days, of all the trail and expedition runs .. last night I got 1 piece of that set, which I couldn't use. Also many times the endboss wouldn't give legendaries, I had that last night again, multiple times on a row. So how many hours do I need to play until something good drops ? most likely I play at least as much as laserbolt, maybe even more in total .... although no cheats. He said he could help me get the right ones, and that it will fall eventually. Yes .... RNG, eventually something will fall. But even with rerolls, that I did from the start .. no lava set pieces. Even if I didn't had one in my stash or inventory. So of the last video of Laserbolt, I knew his story was BS. I had the same bad luck with RNG when the original game just released. But this time I have the idea it's even worse. Or I get pieces that I have enough of, or lousy setpieces that no one uses, or nothing at all. I like the game, but I'm getting a little tired to play like 8 hours at night, sometimes more ... and get absolutely nothing. In the meanwhile my level grows, but my Pyro set (together with my Techo, my mains) remains around the same level (61 now, CPU level 63 or 64, trails level 28, assentation level 57 I think). The game is a real grind, that's for sure. Maybe I get the pieces before I reach level 40. But in this rate; most likely not.

Although still didnt had all mids then or armor oieces i needed. As mentioned .. I played more the 1000 hours. Just did another 15 expeditions. No drops, only 3 normal legendary weapons an 2 chest pièce. Im going in trials now.

If they don't take action, then that's pretty much saying "it's alright to do it." contradicting their own rules, which could kill the game just the same. Inaction has lead PFC into a situation where it's going to hurt either way, but which way is less likely to be worse is the question.

I personally don't don't see anything wrong with whatever that person did to get actual Good mods on a weapon. For example I do 4 runs of Tarya Gratar hitting every room that can drop Apoc Legos. And get Zero usable armor or weapons. That's because the 3rd mod is consistently garbage on both the guns that drop or armor. Not to mention the Experience gain is atrociously low 🤷🏼‍♂️

The overall loot is trash, the overall XP gain is trash and the benefit of killing the final boss 4 times (especially after the patch) is so small ... and they are still bitching around about it. I really don't understand, WHY it is so damn important for them seeing the players starve. Outriders is a good game, but one of the reasons why Outriders is a good game is that since Realase, we've been continuously fighting their stubbornness. Outriders could be (just by tweaking some numbers) so much more fun, and could be so much more successful... but they still refuse to see this connection. Im so tired about it... @@Burusagi I'm not sure about this. I would play more often, in way longer sessions, if i could play around with builds more easily. Let me change attributes via crafting, let me change both mods on items (third one should be untouched) and i would create 20 crazy and fun builds on the fly... 20 more reasons to run the trial than I have now. When the goal isn't to kill the final boss, but to have fun with builds... let me have fun with builds. I guess thats a kind of longevity, too.

I like this game but way too many hackers in this game even Playstation people have their class profiles hacked, and some have hacked weapons. It discourages me from playing this game. Even skipping apocalypse tiers, ridiculous This new DLC is a total mess, even proper loot drop is bad. Whoever is behind this purposely ruined the game.

The amount of people that are dissatisfied can hinder their sells for any new product. It just feels they don't enough for the game to fix the issue, maybe they aren't planning for a 2nd Outriders

Aren’t hackers jus the absolute best. Almost every match of Halo whether it’s Infinite or the MCC I gotta report someone I suspect of cheating. Sure enough post match when I inspect that player they’re ALWAYS every single time…a PC player. Cross play with PC’ers was never a good thing.

It's so much easier to hack and use cheat mods on PC, its one of the reason I switch off PC cross play when possible. I used to play on PC myself but moved to PS5 because multiplayer games on PC are so full of aim bots and wall hackers it's just not fun anymore,👎

Looking at this from a gamer’s opinion content producer’s shouldn’t be promoting a exploit. It’s not the player’s fault for finding a possible exploit and reporting it that didn’t get patched or fixed immediately if it was game changing. But from a developer standpoint I understand nothing is perfect and every update is going to have more glitches and knowing this someone is going to find a new exploit and abuse it. I don’t like exploit’s anymore than the next person but don’t make the exploit so easy a chimpanzee can do it.

Don't know why some players use glitches and cheats in games, I have never used a glitch or a cheat. I don't agree or understand how PCF are allowing these things. So until it is sorted, I have stopped playing the game and will only return when PCF stop all these glitches and cheats.
